Son La Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Quoc Khanh congratulated comrade Nguyen Dinh Viet on being elected as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

On November 7, the People's Council of Son La province, term XV, 2021-2026, held the 25th thematic session.

At the meeting, delegates dismissed comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh from the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 15th term, 2021-2026, due to being assigned other work by competent authorities; voted to elect comrade Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, to the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 15th term; dismissed comrade Nguyen Ngoc Van from the position of member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 15th term, 2021-2026, due to being assigned other work by competent authorities; voted to elect comrade Dang Trong Cuong, Director of the Provincial Police, as member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 15th term.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Dinh Viet thanked the delegates of the Provincial People's Council for their trust and confidence in electing him to the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. With the new responsibility, he will make every effort, constantly study, devote himself, and strive to successfully complete the assigned tasks; together with the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Committee and members of the Provincial People's Committee, promote the spirit of solidarity and unity, continue to successfully implement the goals of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress.
