Continuing the "Back to the source" program to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly from January 6, 1946 to January 6, 2026 according to the plan of the National Assembly Standing Committee, on March 25, the delegation of Son La province visited the Vietnam Military History Museum. Joining the delegation were comrade Vi Duc Tho, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; former leaders of the National Assembly Delegation, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province in all terms; representatives of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Council Committees of the XV term; representatives of the leaders of departments, branches, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of the province and the Standing Committees of the People's Councils of the districts of the province.
Delegates participating in the program were introduced by tour guides about the history of the formation and development of the Vietnam Military History Museum - one of the typical cultural works of the Capital. The delegation visited the exhibition areas associated with each historical period of the nation's struggle, where many valuable artifacts and documents are kept. The outdoor exhibition area introduces weapons and equipment of our army and people during the resistance war against France, against the US as well as in peacetime. Inside the main building are topics about the journey of building and defending the country from the beginning of history.
With thousands of artifacts and images, delegates vividly experienced stories about Vietnam's military history. Currently, the museum preserves more than 150,000 artifacts, including 4 national treasures and many rare antiques. Built with modern architecture, the museum is not only a place for exhibition but also an interactive space, helping visitors gain a deeper understanding of the struggle for independence of the Vietnam People's Army./.
