Dissemination of legal education in the Vietnam - Laos border area.

Attending and co-chairing the Conference were comrade Tran Thi Minh Hoa - Director of the Department of Justice of Son La province; comrade Phu Huong Phom Ma Van - Deputy Director of the Department of Justice of Hua Phan province, Lao PDR. The delegation of Hua Phan province attending the Conference also included representatives of the leaders of the departments, specialized divisions of the Department of Labor and Social Welfare of the province, the Provincial Customs Department, the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Hua Phan Provincial Police, and the Department of Justice of Hua Phan province. The delegation and Conference Reporters of Son La province included representatives of the People's Committee of Song Ma district, representatives of the leaders of specialized divisions of the Department of Justice, the Department of Civil Judgment Enforcement of the province, the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Provincial Police, and the Provincial Border Guard Command. The Conference was attended by a total of 340 delegates who are ethnic people residing in the border areas of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Lao PDR.

At the conference held in Chieng Khuong commune, Song Ma district, Son La province, the Reporter of the Lao PDR disseminated and introduced the Nationality Law; guiding documents on permitting marriage between Lao people and foreigners; the Drug Law; regulations on illegal exit and entry; border regulations, free migration and unregistered marriage in border areas; regulations on customs violations and customs enforcement; regulations on permitting entry of foreign workers to work in Laos.

At the conference held at Dan Village Cluster, Muong Et District, Hua Phan Province, the reporter of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam disseminated the Vietnam Border Law and detailed regulations; the Law on Drug Prevention and Control; Vietnam's regulations on entry and exit; Vietnam's regulations on civil status, nationality, and free migration related to Lao people; and legal regulations on Civil Judgment Enforcement.

At the 2 Conferences, the delegates expressed their deep gratitude for the attention of the Party and State of Vietnam and Laos in raising awareness and legal consciousness for the people. The organization of law dissemination through the Conference, the delegates had direct contact with experienced officials in the field of propaganda, bilingual propaganda methods, application of information technology, projection of images and videos to support the presentation very effectively, easy to listen, easy to understand... The people also respectfully requested the competent state agencies to study to have more favorable regulations for people residing in the border areas of Vietnam and Laos in traveling to visit relatives, receive medical treatment, and do business.
