The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Son La province has just issued a plan to organize the "Happy Family Moments" photo contest in Son La province in 2025.
In accordance with Plan No. 56-KH/TU dated August 25, 2021, of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on implementing Directive 06-CT/TW dated June 24, 2021, of the Party Central Committee on strengthening the Party's leadership over family building in the new situation; and Decision No. 2238/QĐ-TTg dated December 30, 2021, of the Prime Minister on promulgating the Strategy for the Development of Vietnamese Families until 2030, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Son La province has issued a plan to organize the "Happy Family Moments" photo contest in Son La province in 2025.
The competition aims to promote awareness among all levels, sectors, organizations, individuals, families, and society as a whole regarding family affairs and the prevention and control of domestic violence. It encourages people to practice civilized lifestyles and cultural conduct within families and communities, contributing to the preservation and promotion of Vietnamese family cultural values. It also aims to strengthen the dissemination of the Law on the Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence and related regulations to limit and reduce violations of the law in the field of family affairs and the prevention and control of domestic violence, gradually preventing and reducing domestic violence throughout the province.

At the same time, the competition aims to spread and honor the positive values of Vietnamese families, promoting ethical standards, lifestyles, and fine cultural traditions of the family. It contributes to educating about cultural traditions and family values, thereby raising the sense of responsibility of all citizens in preserving, protecting, and promoting the fine cultural traditions of families of ethnic groups in Son La province.
The competition is open to professional and amateur photographers nationwide, Vietnamese citizens, and Vietnamese people residing abroad.
The content of the entries should capture loving moments and scenes of family members; the solidarity, love, and mutual support within the family; gender equality within the family and in daily life; the promotion of the Vietnamese family tradition of prosperity, progress, and happiness; beautiful moments and images of the family and the roles of family members in everyday life today, such as actively participating in learning, working, production, raising children, building a happy family, and participating in political, economic, cultural, and social activities; and raise awareness to prevent domestic violence; the responsibilities of organizations, individuals, and family members in preventing and combating domestic violence… ensuring compliance with the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence 2022…
The artwork must have valuable content and ideas, adhere to cultural norms, and be in line with Vietnamese customs and traditions. At the same time, the organizers encourage families to wear their traditional ethnic costumes.
Regarding the prize structure, the Organizing Committee will award 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and 3 consolation prizes. In addition to the above prizes, the Organizing Committee will select 29 high-quality works for exhibition at the closing ceremony and awards presentation.
The submission period for entries is tentatively from May to September 2025, and the awards ceremony is tentatively scheduled to take place at the end of October 2025 in Son La city.
