With the goal of increasing the number of workers from Son La province working abroad, by 2025, the province aims to have 200 workers going to work abroad under contract. This includes effectively implementing policies to support initial costs for vocational training, foreign language training, and necessary knowledge enhancement; costs for passport and visa procedures, health check-ups, and criminal record checks before working abroad; and loans from the National Employment Fund or the Social Policy Bank as regulated...
Departments, agencies, and district-level People's Committees proactively coordinate with companies and businesses to promote, encourage, advise, provide career guidance, and offer vocational training to send workers from Son La province to work abroad. Currently, the Department of Internal Affairs has reviewed legal documents and introduced the People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities to facilitate and coordinate with 17 companies and businesses operating services to send Vietnamese workers abroad, advising, selecting, and sending 173 workers from Son La province to work in countries such as Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea.
Ms. Mua Thi Sinh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Muong La District, informed: The district is actively coordinating with reputable companies and businesses operating in the field of labor export to promote awareness and encourage people to fully understand the benefits and support policies of the labor export program. Since the beginning of the year, the district has sent 16 workers to work abroad, and currently 27 workers are receiving Japanese language training in preparation for working in Japan in the near future.

In Son La province, several organizations, including Viet Thang International Development Joint Stock Company, TTLC (Trade and Tourism Labor Export Joint Stock Company), Tin Phat International Education Investment Cooperation Joint Stock Company, and Vietnam Human Resources and Construction Joint Stock Company, are coordinating with local authorities to disseminate information, provide advice, and open vocational and foreign language training classes for workers going to work abroad in various fields and professions.
Mr. Hoang Thach Hao Quang, Deputy General Director of the Trade and Tourism Labor Export Joint Stock Company (TTLC), informed: From April until now, the company has organized career counseling and guidance conferences for workers going to work abroad in the districts of Thuan Chau, Song Ma, Muong La, Sop Cop, and Quynh Nhai, attracting over 700 participants. To date, 55 people have registered to work abroad, mainly in the fields of garment manufacturing and component assembly. The company is currently opening two Japanese language training classes lasting 4-6 months in Song Ma and Muong La districts. It is planned to open another class in Quynh Nhai district. After language training, workers will receive vocational training before going to work in Japan.
After receiving advice and support from TTLC Company, Ms. Lo Thi Cuong, from Khua Vai village, Ngoc Chien commune, registered for labor export to Japan. Ms. Cuong said: "After TTLC Company came to the commune to provide job counseling, along with the dedicated support of the local authorities and relevant agencies, I have completed my application and am preparing to go to work in Japan."
