Son La province has identified sustainable tourism development and product diversification as key economic sectors, striving to make tourism a leading industry by 2030. The province is actively promoting tourism, promoting Son La tourism, and strengthening the management and implementation of tourism development plans to ensure consistency and suitability to the specific conditions of each locality. According to the Provincial People's Committee, there are currently 611 tourist accommodation establishments in the province, including 8 hotels with 3 stars or more, and the rest being guesthouses, homestays, and other types of tourist accommodation.
