International Yoga Day in Son La province in 2025
On June 14, at Moc Chau Island Tourist Area - Bach Long Glass Bridge, Moc Chau town, Son La Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Embassy of the Republic of India in Vietnam to organize the International Yoga Day with the theme "For one earth, one common health".
Attending the festival were Dr. Monica Sharma, Director of Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center, Embassy of the Republic of India in Vietnam; leaders of provincial departments and branches; Moc Chau town and more than 200 members of Yoga Clubs in Son La city and Moc Chau town.
Yoga is an ancient Indian practice and is recognized by the United Nations as a holistic approach to health and well-being; spreading the benefits of Yoga contributes to improving the health of people around the world.
The International Yoga Day program held in Son La province will contribute to promoting and encouraging the Yoga practice movement, improving people's health and be a bridge to create resonance to promote the beautiful nature, friendly and hospitable people of Son La to domestic and international tourists. The festival also promotes the solidarity and friendship between the people of Vietnam and India to become increasingly stronger.
Within the framework of the program, a popular Yoga Protocol performance took place with more than 200 members from Yoga Clubs in Son La city and Moc Chau town.

Famous Indian cinema works, shown
Previously, on the evening of June 13 at the Cultural - Cinema Center of Son La province,People's Committee of Son La provinceIn coordination with the Embassy of India in Vietnam, the Indian Film Festival opened in Son La province.
The Indian Film Festival takes place from June 13 to 15, screening four famous Indian films for free, including: “Roar of Freedom”, “Live Only Once”, “English, My Language” and “Wrestler”. These are attractive films, recognized by global audiences, with profound content, recreating the history of India in 1920, depicting friendship, the journey of self-discovery, self-esteem, the value of living life to the fullest, talking about the issue of empowerment, breaking stereotypes, social norms, and gender equality.
Each film has Vietnamese and English subtitles, representing many typical nuances of Indian cinema, suitable for many ages of viewers, promising to bring a rich cinematic experience to Son La audiences.

Strengthening cooperation between Son La province and India
Previously, on April 11, in Hanoi, the delegation of Son La province led by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, had a working session with the Embassy of the Republic of India in Vietnam. At the meeting, Mr. Sandeep Arya, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Vietnam warmly welcomed the delegation of Son La province to visit and work at the Embassy. After visiting agricultural and tourism models in Moc Chau town last March, the Ambassador highly appreciated the potential for economic, social and tourism development of Son La province and wished to continue to learn, strengthen the relationship, and be a bridge for investment cooperation in Son La province, especially in the fields of agriculture, agricultural exports and tourism. The Ambassador suggested that Son La province coordinate to organize the International Yoga Day Celebration Program in Moc Chau town and the Indian Film Festival in Son La province.
