On June 14th, at Moc Chau Island Tourist Area, the People's Committee of Son La province, in coordination with the Embassy of the Republic of India in Vietnam, organized the International Yoga Day 2025, with the theme "For one planet, one shared health".

As part of the program, there were mass demonstrations of popular yoga protocols, with the participation of teachers and over 200 members from yoga clubs in Son La city and Moc Chau town.
Yoga is an ancient Indian practice; its breathing exercises enhance oxygen supply to cells and improve metabolism. Yoga meditation techniques promote inner peace and balance, strengthening mind-body coordination and mindfulness.
Furthermore, Yoga allows individuals to connect with their environment in a more subtle way, thus becoming a source of positive energy in the world. Therefore, the United Nations recognizes Yoga as a holistic approach to health and well-being. Promoting the benefits of Yoga contributes to the health of people worldwide.

Dr. Monica Sharma, Director of the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Embassy of India in Vietnam, delivered a speech.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Monica Sharma, Director of the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Embassy of the Republic of India in Vietnam, emphasized: "The widespread interest in Yoga across provinces and cities in Vietnam is truly encouraging. Dr. Monica Sharma believes that Yoga is closely linked to the strong belief in health and exercise that President Ho Chi Minh emphasized. The fact that Yoga Day will be held in 45 provinces and cities across Vietnam, including Son La this year, is truly impressive."

In Son La province, the practice of Yoga has been developing strongly in recent years among people of all ages.
