The program is part of the “Colors of Son La” program at the 2025 Da Nang Enjoyment Festival, which took place from June 19 to June 23. Son La brought its own colors of the northern highland city to the coastal city.

According to Ms. Trang Thi Xuan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province, the Son La - Da Nang tourism promotion conference is one of the practical activities to concretize the memorandum of understanding between the Standing Committees of the two provinces. This is also a practical activity in implementing tasks and solutions to implement the tourism development stimulus program in 2025 according to Decision No. 444/QD-BVHTTDL dated February 28, 2025 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Previously, at the opening ceremony of the Da Nang Enjoy Festival, Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee, also affirmed that the tourism event "Colors of Son La" is one of the important activities in the series of activities of the Da Nang Enjoy Festival 2025.

Also at the conference, many Son La tourism businesses were introduced to the press and Da Nang travel businesses about Son La's unique tourist areas and destinations. Mr. Cao Tri Dung, Chairman of Da Nang Tourism Association, said that this was a valuable conference because through the tourism products of Son La businesses, Da Nang tourism industry for the first time had a full picture of the potential and beauty of the destinations of this highland city. Mr. Dung hoped that after the conference, the two localities would concretize the programs with a famtrip for travel agencies in Da Nang so that businesses could have a basis to build a set of tours.

Mr. Tran Xuan Viet, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Son La province, said that on the evening of June 22 at the East Sea Park, the art program "Colors of Son La" will bring visitors experiences of the unique cultural features of Son La such as the Solidarity Dance and the experience of Thai Xoè Art - recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity; along with community cultural experiences (Dao ethnic bell dance, Mong ethnic tha khenh dance, bamboo dance, Tung con; Tang Cau ritual, Han Khuong space of Thai ethnic group). Besides, visitors can visit the space introducing tourism products and OCOP products of Son La province.

“Colors of Son La” takes place in the heart of the Da Nang Enjoy Festival in the area along the Han River and the East Sea Park of Da Nang City with a series of entertainment activities welcoming the summer taking place brilliantly with many activities. Along with the fireworks festival that continues, the season in Da Nang takes tourists on a journey to discover coastal cuisine with 50 booths serving nearly 100 local, regional and international dishes.

 

In the first 6 months of 2025, the number of tourists coming to Son La is estimated to reach 3 million, revenue from tourism services will reach 3,500 billion VND, an average growth of 15-20%/year.

In 2024, Son La will welcome nearly 5 million visitors, with revenue from tourism services reaching nearly 6,000 billion VND;
