On the morning of June 22nd, tourism businesses from Son La province presented their products to travel agents in the coastal city at the Son La - Da Nang Tourism Promotion Conference.
The program is part of the "Colors of Son La" initiative at the Da Nang Enjoyment Festival 2025, taking place from June 19th to 23rd. Son La has brought the unique colors of this northern highland city to the coastal city.
According to Ms. Trang Thi Xuan, Standing Committee Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Son La Provincial People's Committee, the Son La - Da Nang Tourism Promotion Conference is one of the practical activities to concretize the memorandum of understanding between the Standing Committees of the two provinces. This is also a practical activity in implementing the tasks and solutions for the tourism stimulus program in 2025, as stipulated in Decision No. 444/QD-BVHTTDL dated February 28, 2025, of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Ms. Xuan introduced the tourism potential of Son La with many interesting destinations: Moc Chau National Tourist Area - a world-leading natural destination; Ta Xua Cloud Hunting - Come and experience it; Son La Hydroelectric Reservoir Area - Come and discover unexplored things; Son La City - destinations linked to history;
Earlier, at the opening ceremony of the Da Nang Enjoyment Festival, Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, also affirmed that the "Colors of Son La" tourism event is one of the important activities in the series of activities of the Da Nang Enjoyment Festival 2025.

At the conference, Mr. Ho Ky Minh, Standing Committee member of the City Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee, also suggested that the tourism sectors of the two localities actively research and find directions for tourism products in both areas.
Also at the conference, many tourism businesses from Son La were introduced to the press and travel agencies in Da Nang about the unique tourist areas and destinations of Son La. Mr. Cao Tri Dung, Chairman of the Da Nang Tourism Association, said that this was a valuable conference because, through the tourism products of Son La businesses, the Da Nang tourism industry for the first time had a full understanding of the potential and beauty of the destinations of this highland city. Mr. Dung hoped that after the conference, the two localities would concretize the programs with a famtrip for travel agencies in Da Nang so that businesses would have a basis for building tour packages.

According to Mr. Tran Xuan Viet, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Son La province, on the evening of June 22nd at Bien Dong Park, the "Colors of Son La" art program will offer visitors unique cultural experiences of Son La such as the Unity Dance and the Thai Xoe dance – recognized by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity; along with community cultural experiences (Dao ethnic bell dance, Mong ethnic tha khenh dance, bamboo pole dance, Tung Con game; Tang Cau ritual, Han Khuong space of Thai ethnic). In addition, visitors can explore the space showcasing tourism products and OCOP products of Son La province.

"Colors of Son La" takes place within the Da Nang Enjoyment Festival area along the Han River and East Sea Park in Da Nang City, featuring a series of vibrant summer entertainment activities. Alongside the ongoing fireworks display, the Da Nang season offers visitors a culinary journey exploring coastal cuisine with 50 stalls serving nearly 100 local, regional, and international dishes.
In the first six months of 2025, Son La is expected to receive 3 million tourists, generating 3,500 billion VND in revenue from tourism services, with an average annual growth rate of 15-20%.
In 2024, Son La welcomed nearly 5 million visitors, generating revenue from tourism services of nearly 6,000 billion VND.
