Attending the conference were: Mr. Ho Ky Minh, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City; Ms. Trang Thi Xuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La Province; leaders of several departments and agencies; and representatives of several travel companies, cooperatives, and tourism service businesses from Son La Province, Da Nang City, and Quang Nam Province.

At the conference, representatives from the two localities provided an overview of their tourism resources, tourism products, culture, land, and people. Son La province, with its geographical location as the center of the Northwest region and its advantages in rich and diverse tourism resources, both natural and cultural, has seen a continuous increase in tourist arrivals. In the first six months of 2025, the province welcomed nearly 3 million visitors, generating 3,500 billion VND in tourism revenue, with an average growth rate of 15-20% per year.
For Da Nang city, tourism activities have seen remarkable growth since the beginning of the year, with an estimated total of approximately 4.6 million overnight visitors; tourism service revenue is estimated at around 13,000 billion VND, a 24% increase compared to the same period last year. The city continues to promote tourism activities, organize major events, and expand international flight routes, contributing to consolidating its position as a leading destination in the Central and Central Highlands regions.
Representatives from Moc Chau Island Tourist Area introduced their tourism products.
At the conference, representatives from travel companies and businesses of both localities introduced destinations and policies, incentives, and programs to stimulate tourism for visitors from both sides; discussed solutions for linking and building cooperation mechanisms for tourism development; and proposed solutions to overcome difficulties and develop suitable tour routes between Son La and Da Nang in the future.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Trang Thi Xuan emphasized: In its orientation to develop tourism into a key economic sector, Son La province has always identified cooperation and market expansion as important tasks that need to be carried out regularly and continuously. The "Colors of Son La" tourism event in Da Nang city provides an opportunity for Son La to seek investment and cooperation opportunities, forming inter-regional and inter-provincial tourism routes and products, contributing to the overall development of the tourism industry.
The Da Nang Tourism Association and the Son La Tourism Association signed an agreement to cooperate in tourism development.
The conference included the signing of a cooperation agreement to promote the development of culture, sports, and tourism between the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Son La Province; and a cooperation agreement for tourism development between the Da Nang Tourism Association and the Son La Tourism Association.
