Son La - Da Nang tourism promotion conference.

Attending the conference were comrades: Ho Ky Minh, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City; Trang Thi Xuan, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La Province; leaders of a number of departments, branches and representatives of a number of travel companies, cooperatives, tourism service businesses of Son La Province, Da Nang City and Quang Nam Province.

At the conference, representatives of the two localities provided general information about tourism resources, tourism products, culture, land and people. Son La province is geographically located in the center of the Northwest region with advantages in rich and diverse tourism resources, both natural and cultural. In recent times, the number of tourists coming to Son La has been constantly increasing. In the first 6 months of 2025, the province welcomed nearly 3 million visitors, revenue from tourism services reached 3,500 billion VND, an average growth of 15-20%/year.

For Da Nang city, since the beginning of the year, tourism activities have recorded remarkable growth, with the total number of visitors estimated at about 4.6 million; tourism service revenue estimated at about 13,000 billion VND, up 24% over the same period. The city continues to promote activities, organize major events and expand international flights, contributing to consolidating its position as a leading destination in the Central Highlands region.

At the conference, representatives of travel companies and businesses from the two localities introduced destinations and policies, incentive programs, and tourism stimulus for tourists from both sides; discussed solutions for linkage, building a cooperation mechanism for tourism development; solutions to remove difficulties, and proposed building suitable tours between Son La and Da Nang in the coming time.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Trang Thi Xuan emphasized: In the orientation of developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector, Son La province always identifies cooperation and market expansion as important tasks that need to be carried out regularly and continuously. Through the tourism event "Colors of Son La" in Da Nang city, it is an opportunity for Son La to seek investment and cooperation opportunities, form inter-regional and inter-provincial tours and tourism products, contributing to the overall development of the tourism industry.

Da Nang Tourism Association and Son La Tourism Association signed a cooperation agreement to develop tourism.

At the conference, a signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement to promote the development of culture, sports and tourism took place between the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang city and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Son La province; and a cooperation agreement to develop tourism between the Da Nang Tourism Association and the Son La Tourism Association.
