Joining in the celebratory atmosphere nationwide, on the morning of June 30th, Son La province solemnly held a ceremony to announce the Resolutions of the National Assembly and the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on the termination of district-level administrative units, the reorganization of commune-level administrative units; the decision to establish commune-level Party committees; and the appointment of personnel for the Party committees, leaders of the People's Councils, People's Committees, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at the commune level.

The announcement ceremony was held live at the Provincial Conference Center, connected online with 75 commune and ward centers, and was broadcast live on STV channel of the Provincial Radio and Television Station, and re-broadcast on Son La Newspaper's online platform.

At the announcement ceremony, Comrade Lo Minh Hung, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, announced Resolution No. 1681/NQ-UBTVQH15 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on the rearrangement of commune-level administrative units in Son La province in 2025. Accordingly, after the rearrangement, Son La province will reduce from 200 communes, wards, and towns to 75 commune-level administrative units, including 67 communes and 8 wards; of which 60 communes and 8 wards will be formed after the rearrangement, and 7 communes will not be rearranged.
Simultaneously, the Provincial Party Committee's decisions regarding the termination of activities at the district level were announced; decisions on the establishment of Party committees at the commune and ward levels; decisions on the appointment of personnel for the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, and Deputy Secretary; and decisions on the appointment of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee, its Chairman, and Deputy Chairman at the commune and ward levels.

Speaking on behalf of the leaders of 75 communes and wards in the province, Comrade Ha Trung Chien, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Secretary of the To Hieu Ward Party Committee, expressed his determination: With the responsibility entrusted to them, the ward's leadership team will promote unity, proactiveness, and creativity, quickly adapting to, mastering, and successfully implementing the tasks in the new model. They will focus on leading and directing, concretizing the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations into local practice; listening to the opinions of the people, promptly resolving issues arising from the grassroots, contributing to building a strong political system, promoting socio-economic development, and maintaining national defense and security in the locality.

All tasks under the authority of both levels must be carried out smoothly, without delay or omission, in order to better serve the people and businesses; at the same time, maintaining the image and demeanor of officials "shifting from administrative service to serving the people." For communes lacking specialized personnel, the provincial level must promptly and adequately arrange and reinforce support to ensure smooth operation. The administrative centers at all levels must operate effectively to promptly address the requests of organizations and individuals according to regulations; and promote the application of information technology in carrying out administrative procedures. Good information and communication work should be done regarding the Party's correct policies and the State's laws on the reorganization of administrative units at all levels, and the effective organization of the two-level local government model.

Speaking on behalf of the provincial leaders at the announcement ceremony, Comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, respectfully thanked the Minister of Health for acknowledging and commending the achievements of the Provincial Party Committee in the past period, and for providing very specific, profound, comprehensive, and practical guidance and direction for the province in the coming time.
The Provincial Party Secretary requested that Party committees and authorities at all levels continue to closely follow the leadership and guidance of the Central Government and the province regarding the organization and operation of the two-level administrative apparatus; strive to overcome difficulties and immediately begin implementing tasks, ensuring the synchronized, unified, and effective operation of Party and State agencies and organizations within the political system from July 1, 2025. They should boldly innovate working methods, accelerate digital transformation, and reform administrative procedures; be closer to the people to promptly and efficiently resolve issues.

Party committees, government agencies, and organizations within the political system need to pay special attention to building a strong national unity. In this, the leader must be the center of unity, capable of unleashing local potential, connecting the workforce, and leading the Party organization and political system to operate synchronously and uniformly, acting towards common goals.
Every cadre, Party member, civil servant, and public employee should uphold a high sense of responsibility, set a good example, and dedicate themselves to their work; quickly adapt to new tasks; and proactively improve their professional skills to meet the demands of new assignments.
