In recent years, many innovative economic development models have emerged in the province, increasing income and creating jobs for the people. A typical example is the eco-tourism model of Ms. Ca Thi Ngan's family, O Tra village, Chieng Mung commune.

Previously, most of Ms. Ca Thi Ngan's family's land was used to grow corn and cassava, with unstable income. In 2022, with savings and additional bank loans, the couple boldly renovated the entire garden, planning it into an eco-tourism area, combining food, fishing, and resort services.
Ms. Ngan and her husband went to visit and learn about homestay models in Moc Chau and Mai Chau, then hired a landscape designer, built a fishing lake, built a rest hut, and planted trees around the area to create a cool green space.

After nearly three years of hard work, Ms. Ngan's family has owned a spacious eco-tourism model, combined with delicious food preparation and attentive service. The good reputation spread far and wide, Ms. Ngan's model attracted more and more visitors to visit, experience, and enjoy local specialties. In 2024, her family earned more than 1 billion VND from the eco-tourism model.
Not stopping there, she plans to invest in more games for children, build an agricultural experience area, and plant more flowers and ornamental plants to diversify services and meet customer needs.

Ms. Cam Thi Theu, President of the Women's Union of Chieng Mung Commune, commented: Ms. Ca Thi Ngan is an active and creative female member. Her family's eco-tourism model has been visited by members to exchange experiences and learn from each other to develop the economy.
The start-up story of Ms. Ca Thi Ngan is a vivid proof of the spirit of daring to think and daring to do of rural women in Son La today. With dynamism, creativity and aspiration to rise up, she has written a story of getting rich right on her homeland.
