On the morning of July 7th, the Son La Provincial Party Committee held a meeting to review the first six months of the year and to implement key tasks for the remainder of the year regarding the development of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

Over the past six months, leadership, guidance, and organization of research, study, and thorough understanding of resolutions and decisions of the Central Government and the province on the development of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation have been implemented decisively.
To ensure effective implementation, the Steering Committee for Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Development of Son La province has been established, with clear operating regulations and specific task assignments for its members.
People's CommitteeSon La provinceThe People's Committee also issued Plan No. 142/KH-UBND and established a Steering Committee and an inter-agency working group to direct its implementation.
Information and communication work has been given special priority and intensified. Son La province has issued a list of databases for use and continuously provides and updates data belonging to the open data category on the province's open data portal, creating favorable conditions for accessing information and increasing transparency in government operations.

The conference was connected online to communes and wards throughout Son La province.
Over the past six months, Son La province has allocated 159 billion VND from the state budget to the science and technology sector. The province has also published a list of major challenges in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, providing clear direction for research and development activities.
Regarding the implementation of tasks assigned by the Central Committee, out of a total of 24 tasks in Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, 8 tasks have been completed.
Of the 26 tasks outlined in the Conclusion Notice of the Central Steering Committee on Innovation and Digital Transformation, 12 have been completed.
The tasks outlined in Plan No. 02-KH/BCĐTW also show that 15 out of 28 tasks will be completed before July 1, 2025.
At the grassroots level, communes and wards have been provided with and are operating administrative service centers with the necessary equipment and facilities. Security equipment for data transmission and cryptography, as well as other security devices, has also been handed over.
Regarding the operational software transferred from the central government (iCPV) and the document management operating system (vnpt-ioffice), they have been installed and are being used effectively, contributing to improved operational capacity and better service to the people.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and proposing solutions for effectively implementing tasks related to the development of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation. The discussions centered on infrastructure, human resources, internet connectivity, and other key areas.
Speaking at the conference, Comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh, Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, emphasized the necessity of continuing to thoroughly understand and strictly implement the directives.Resolution No. 57- Resolution/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.
The Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee requested relevant units to focus on completing tasks assigned by the Central Government and tasks according to the province's work plan and program for 2025, especially key tasks according to Resolution 57-NQ/TW and announcements and plans of the Central Steering Committee.
