In response to this year's World Population Day on July 11th, themed "Reproductive Self-Determination in a Changing World," our province has organized numerous communication activities to spread the message about reproductive rights, improve the quality of the population, and move towards a sustainable and humane society.

Officials from the Muong La Regional Health Center are conducting awareness campaigns on population and development.
The Provincial Population Department has guided localities to organize activities in response to World Population Day in accordance with their actual conditions. Many practical messages have been disseminated, such as: "Having children is a right - Raising children well is a responsibility," "Avoid teenage pregnancy for your own future and happiness"... These messages have been widely disseminated on social media platforms such as Facebook, Zalo, TikTok, YouTube, etc., helping people, especially young people, to effectively reach them, a key target group in changing behavior.
Mr. Dinh Anh Tuan, Head of the Provincial Population Department, said: By June 30th, the province's population reached over 1.2 million people, and the need for access to reproductive health care services and the right to self-determination in reproduction is increasingly important. The Department has coordinated with regional health centers and commune/ward health stations to promote population communication through healthcare workers and communicators, thereby spreading knowledge and raising community awareness.
Locally, various forms of communication were organized, such as seminars, leaflet distribution, banner hanging, and mobile film screenings in remote areas. Regional health centers organized hundreds of direct communication sessions, attracting thousands of participants. In difficult areas, border regions, and ethnic minority areas, health stations brought family planning and reproductive health care services directly to people, making them easily accessible.
