(vhttdl.sonla.gov.vn) On the afternoon of December 29th, the People's Committee of Son La province held the award ceremony for the "Son La Province Tourism Brand Recognition Award 2023". Attending the ceremony were leaders from several provincial departments and agencies, along with more than 30 units, organizations, and businesses providing tourism services in the province.
Mr. Tran Xuan Viet, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Son La province, delivered a speech at the award ceremony.
The Son La Province Tourism Brand Recognition Award was launched on October 15, 2023, with the goal of promoting and publicizing tourist areas, attractions, accommodation establishments, and tourism service businesses throughout the province. Simultaneously, it provides an opportunity for businesses, organizations, and tourism service providers to position their brands and products; and to launch a competitive movement to build and improve the quality of tourism products and services.
The competition attracted 65 units, tourist areas, tourist attractions, hotels, and restaurants in the province to register for participation in 6 categories including: Outstanding tourist area; outstanding tourist attraction; outstanding 4-5 star hotel; outstanding 2-3 star hotel; and outstanding other accommodation establishments.
The online voting process, conducted from October 15th to December 15th, 2023, attracted over 1 million viewers and nearly 650,000 participants across five categories: product and service quality; service price; service attitude and environmental hygiene; ensuring safety and security for tourists; and outstanding restaurants and eateries. The Organizing Committee awarded 11 prizes across 6 categories, including: Outstanding Tourist Area Award for the Pine Forest Ban Ang high-end resort and entertainment area in Dong Sang commune, Moc Chau district; Outstanding Tourist Destination Award for the Dai Yem Waterfall ecological resort in Muong Sang commune, Moc Chau district; Outstanding 4-5 star Hotel Award for Muong Thanh Son La Hotel; 2 awards for outstanding 2-3 star hotel groups; 3 awards for outstanding other accommodation establishments; and 3 awards for outstanding restaurants.
Speaking at the awards ceremony, Tran Xuan Viet, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Son La province, said that the competition was organized to promote tourist areas, tourist destinations, accommodation establishments, and tourism service businesses throughout the province; it is also an opportunity for businesses, units, and tourism service establishments to position their brands and products; and a chance to launch a movement to build and improve the quality of tourism products and services. The competition also creates a platform to attract units, organizations, and individuals doing business in tourism services in Son La province to exchange, learn, and share experiences in innovating and improving the quality of tourism products to gradually meet the needs of domestic and international tourists.
This is also an opportunity for tourism businesses to network, exchange experiences, and cooperate in developing and improving the quality of tourism products, contributing to job creation and increased income for workers, especially in ethnic minority areas in Son La province.
