VHO - The People's Committee of Son La province has just issued Decision 1822/QD-UBND on the implementation of the plan to participate in the Exhibition of Economic and Social Development Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) with the theme "Son La - Historical imprint, cultural colors and aspirations for development".

The exhibition is one of the major, key activities organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam).
This is a cultural and artistic commentary activity containing many messages sent to all levels of people in the country, Vietnamese people abroad, and a large number of international friends and tourists about the great achievements and historically significant accomplishments in building and developing the country's economy, culture, society, national defense, security, and foreign relations over the past 80 years.
From there, it contributes to educating and promoting the tradition of patriotism, instilling confidence in the Party and State's reform cause, while simultaneously arousing pride in historical and revolutionary traditions; fostering and enhancing the sense of duty and responsibility among all strata of the people, especially the younger generation in the new era.
Accordingly, Son La province participated in the exhibition with the theme "Son La - Historical Imprints, Cultural Colors and Aspirations for Development" to affirm and honor the achievements of the people of Son La province in the cause of national liberation, building and protecting the Fatherland, especially the achievements in the country's renovation and international integration.
With an exhibition space divided into three parts: Part 1: "Son La - Historical Milestones"; Part 2: "Son La - Cultural Colors"; Part 3: "Son La - A Bright Future," the exhibition affirms the role, position, and significant contributions of Son La province in the revolutionary history, the process of reform, and international integration. At the same time, it promotes and introduces the potential and strengths of Son La province's current economic, cultural, and tourism development.
The exhibition spaces focus on introducing and promoting the image of Son La's land and people during the resistance war years and in the period of renovation, development, and integration, highlighting outstanding achievements in economic, political, cultural, sports, and tourism development, national defense and security, tourism products, safe agricultural products, and OCOP products of Son La province.
Recreated through documentary images, artifacts, and multimedia products, this portrays the 80-year journey of fighting, building, and defending the Fatherland by the army and people of Son La province under the leadership of the Party.
Particularly noteworthy is the tenacious and indomitable revolutionary fighting spirit of the people of Son La province in the struggle for liberation and national independence in 1945.
And the economic, cultural, social, national defense, security, and foreign affairs achievements of Son La province throughout 80 years of building, protecting, and developing alongside the country.
In particular, the space promotes the potential and strengths of Son La province during the period of national renewal and international integration, such as: the potential for developing processed agricultural products and OCOP products; the potential for tourism development with key tourist areas such as Moc Chau National Tourist Area, Ta Xua - Bac Yen Tourist Area, and the Son La Hydropower Reservoir Tourist Area...
In addition, the exhibition, featuring a space for cultural exchange showcasing the unique traditional crafts of the ethnic groups of Son La province with the participation of artisans and amateur performers, will contribute to giving domestic and international tourists the opportunity to experience and learn about traditional crafts, Thai Xoe dance, Mong Khen dance, Thai ethnic cuisine, and more.
