From exemplary cadre to prestigious person trusted by the people

Traveling dozens of kilometers of winding dirt roads to Long Bo village, Chieng Hoa commune, we heard many people talk about Mr. Giang A Cho, who is likened to a "tall tree with great shade" in this highland area.

In our conversation with him, we learned that Mr. Cho used to hold the position of Chairman of the Commune Farmers' Association.Chieng Congold. After his retirement, the villagers continued to trust him and entrusted him with the important responsibility of Village Chief. In 2019, Mr. Cho was recognized as a village elder and a prestigious person.

Over the years, Mr. Cho has always been a leading example, promoting the role of a "bridge" between the government and local people, mobilizing people to preserve the customs, practices and traditional culture of the nation.

To help people eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, Mr. Cho actively encouraged households to switch from growing corn and cassava to growing lacquer trees and elephant grass, expanding the area of terraced fields; and applying technical advances to production.

At the same time, actively participate in reconciling conflicts and disagreements among families in the village. Mr. Giang A Cho shared: Having worked as a commune and village cadre, I have always been deeply imbued with the Party's policies and guidelines, and the State's policies and laws. I always consider it my duty and responsibility to propagate, mobilize, and educate the people.

“As a village elder and a prestigious person in the village, I always actively work with the village management board to propagate and mobilize people to strictly follow the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws and policies. We actively participate in the solidarity movement, helping each other develop the economy, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty,” Mr. Cho confided.

Every word he said touched people's hearts, and people trusted and followed it. When there were new policies, he not only disseminated them in a dry manner but also explained them thoroughly, using real-life examples so that people could easily understand and implement them.

One of Mr. Cho's most important roles is to resolve conflicts and disputes within the community.

He not only uses logic and law but also human feelings and customs to analyze and explain. Cases are resolved quickly, with reason and understanding, without leaving lingering conflicts, helping to strengthen the bond between neighbors.

Life in Long Bo village today is changing day by day, wooden houses with solid Fibro cement roofs are springing up, concrete roads inside the village with investment support from the State have added motivation to help people gradually strive to rise up.

It can be said that prestigious people like Mr. Giang A Cho are typical examples in the hearts of every highland village. They are not only the ones who preserve culture and customs, but also the pioneers in accepting new things, mobilizing people to build a prosperous and happy life together.
