On August 7th, in Son La province, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Son La Provincial Party Committee and the Propaganda and Training Departments of Hua Phan and Luang Prabang provinces (Lao People's Democratic Republic) held a meeting to exchange experiences in propaganda and training work.
Attending the meeting were Comrade Dinh Thi Bich Thao, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Son La Province. Representing the provinces of Laos were Comrades Tong Ly-Tenh, Provincial Party Committee Member, Head of the Propaganda Department of Hua Phan Province; and Somchit-Sinh Lo Kham, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of Luang Prabang Province.
Prior to the talks, the delegations from the Propaganda Departments of Hua Phan and Luang Prabang provinces paid a courtesy visit to the Standing Committee of the Son La Provincial Party Committee; and offered incense at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Temple in the Northwest Square.

In an atmosphere of special solidarity and friendship, leaders of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Son La Provincial Party Committee and the Propaganda and Training Departments of Hua Phan and Luang Prabang provinces provided information on the economic, social, national defense, and security development situation, as well as the results of propaganda and education work in their respective provinces.

Over the years, the propaganda and education work of the three provinces has achieved many important results, focusing on widely disseminating information to cadres, Party members, soldiers, and the people about the special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos; and the close relationship between Son La and Hua Phan and Luang Prabang. At the same time, they have mobilized the people in the border areas to strictly abide by the Border Management Regulations Agreement and the policies and guidelines of the two Parties and States, contributing to maintaining political security, developing socio-economic conditions, and strengthening the ever-growing solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.
External information activities continue to be implemented synchronously by both sides, especially cultural diplomacy, to promote the image, potential, and advantages of the provinces. The mass media system operates regularly with depth and quality, effectively serving the external information and propaganda work between the two sides.

During the talks, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Son La Provincial Party Committee and the Propaganda and Training Departments of Hua Phan and Luang Prabang provinces signed a memorandum of understanding, agreeing to continue maintaining exchanges of delegations and organizing experience-sharing conferences every two years on a rotating basis. The parties will also strengthen regular information exchange channels, providing a basis for advising the Party committees on cooperation in economics, culture, tourism, high-tech agriculture, cadre training, and building a peaceful, friendly, and stable border.
