Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tuan Anh, Head of the Staff Department of the Provincial Police, said: "Implementing the two-tiered local government model has made staff work more difficult than before... However, with a spirit of unity and cohesion, officers and soldiers in the unit have strived, innovated, and proactively advised the Board of Directors to unify leadership, direction, management, and organization of tasks, ensuring political security and social order, and building a strong and comprehensive Son La Police force."

From 2020 to the present, the unit has advised on, thoroughly implemented, and effectively carried out the regulations and directives of the Central Government, the Ministry of Public Security, and the province regarding ensuring security and order. It has proactively researched and proposed to the Provincial Police Directorate to advise the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on effectively directing national security protection; implementing mechanisms and policies in crime prevention; and promoting international cooperation activities on ensuring security and order, with many innovative and groundbreaking approaches, especially in drug prevention. It has also advised on the issuance and effective implementation of the "All People Protect National Security" movement; built and maintained models for ensuring security and order at the grassroots level; and promptly and effectively implemented the Law on Forces Participating in Protecting Security and Order at the Grassroots Level.

Focus on advising on and effectively implementing Resolution No. 12-NQ/TW dated March 16, 2022, of the Politburo on "Strengthening the building of a truly clean, strong, regular, elite, and modern People's Public Security force to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation" and Resolution No. 12-NQ/ĐUCA dated July 25, 2022, of the Central Public Security Party Committee on "Continuing to strengthen the building of the commune and town police force to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation".

In addition, the Department also advises on the strict implementation of the working regulations of the Provincial Police, especially maintaining regular meetings of the Provincial Police with a system of documents notifying conclusions, work targets, emerging tasks, statistical reports, etc. It issues and regularly compiles statistics, counts, monitors, and evaluates the implementation of targets and tasks assigned by the Board of Directors to police units throughout the province, ensuring progress and quality; and monitors and counts tasks assigned by the Ministry and the province.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Anh Minh, Head of the Police Staff Team, shared: "Since the beginning of the year, the team has assisted the unit's leadership in advising the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Police Department on issuing directives and effectively organizing many intensive campaigns to attack and suppress crime; intensive campaigns to combat drug abuse; and specialized plans on crime prevention and control. Notably, we have spearheaded the process of advising the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee to issue a system of documents guiding and directing drug prevention and control work in the province; thereby gradually raising awareness, the role, and responsibility of all levels and sectors; mobilizing the political system and the entire population to participate in crime prevention and control, and combating drug abuse..."

Acknowledging the achievements made, from 2020 to 2024, the Staff Department of the Provincial Police has consistently been awarded the title of "Unit of Victory"; many collectives and individuals have received commendations from various levels and sectors, rightfully serving as a "powerful arm" assisting the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Provincial Police in smoothly managing and directing all aspects of work, making a significant contribution to the overall success of the Son La Provincial Police.
