From August 21-24, the "Son La Province Safe Agricultural Products and Food Week in Hai Phong 2025" was organized to further expand the market for the province's key products.

According to the plan approved by the People's Committee of Son La province, "This weekagricultural productsThe "Son La Province Safe Food Exhibition in Hai Phong in 2025" will showcase and introduce safe agricultural products and food, OCOP products, and typical rural industrial products of the province.
Through this event, Son La hopes that the province's safe agricultural and food products will become known to more domestic consumers, contributing to the promotion, building, and development of the brand of safe agricultural products in Son La province. It helps consumers access quality, safe fruits and agricultural products, and identify product origins when using them. It also creates a bridge between farmers – cooperatives – businesses – distributors – exporters, seeking new partners and signing consumption contracts.

This program is a good opportunity for local businesses to promote safe agricultural products and food to consumers, connecting them with supermarkets, shopping malls, and processing businesses.agricultural exportsboth domestically and internationally.
According to the organizers, the "Son La Province Safe Agricultural Products and Food Week in Hai Phong 2025" will feature 40 booths, with the participation of businesses and cooperatives from communes and wards in Son La province. The aim is to support businesses and cooperatives in selling agricultural products, expanding markets, promoting brands, and encouraging the production of high-quality goods.
In particular, to ensure the success of the "Vietnamese People Prioritize Using Vietnamese Goods Campaign," the event promises to provide the people of Hai Phong city with a space to display and experience unique agricultural products from Son La province.
"The 'Son La Province Safe Agricultural Products and Food Week in Hai Phong 2025' is part of a series of events promoting and connecting supply and demand for safe agricultural products and food from Son La this year. On June 12th, a similar event was held in Hanoi, attracting considerable attention from consumers in the capital city."

Speaking to a reporter from the Industry and Trade Newspaper on the sidelines of the event, Ms. Le Thi Hong Anh, Director of the Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center of Son La province, informed that the "Son La Province Plum and Safe Agricultural Products and Food Week in Hanoi 2025" will have 30 booths, with the participation of businesses and cooperatives from districts, towns, and cities in Son La province. The week is organized with the hope of becoming a reputable destination showcasing high-quality specialty products of Son La province.

Regarding agricultural products and food from the province, Ms. Le Thi Hong Anh also stated that Son La is a mountainous province located in the central Northwest of Vietnam, with a natural area of over 14,000 km², comprising 12 administrative units. It is the third largest province in the country, accounting for 39% of the Northwest region's area and 4.15% of the total national natural area. The administrative center of Son La province is located 302 km northwest of Hanoi. The total population of Son La province is approximately 1.3 million people, with 12 ethnic groups living together.
In 2024, the province had 188 OCOP products (an increase of 34 products compared to 2023); and 7 high-tech agricultural zones (an increase of 2 zones compared to 2023). The province maintained and developed 308 safe agricultural and aquatic food supply chains; 29 agricultural and aquatic products were granted protection certificates by the Intellectual Property Office, and 2 products were granted protection certificates abroad.
Agricultural products have been integrated into the supply chains of major domestic distribution systems such as Saigon Co.op, GO!, Winmart, Winmart+; and sold on e-commerce platforms such as Sendo, Voso, Postmart, and Shopee. Seventeen agricultural products from Son La province have been exported to 21 countries, including the USA, Australia, the UK, France, Japan, South Korea, China, and the UAE.
She also stated that Son La is striving to develop high-quality agricultural products and food. Currently, people in Son La, including ethnic minorities in remote areas of the province, are receiving training to cultivate agricultural products according to high standards such as VietGAP, GlobalGAP, and Organic.

Besides supporting consumption, the authorities at all levels in Son La province also support local people in investing in machinery and equipment for deep processing to increase the value of local agricultural products and increase their income, avoiding the situation of "good harvest, low prices; high prices, poor harvest".
As one of the units regularly participating in the province's agricultural product promotion events, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Lam, an employee of DCD Tea Co., Ltd., shared that the company has 2 hectares of tea plantations that are grown and cared for according to organic standards.
By attending promotional events, the company not only wanted to, but actually did connect with many distributors. In addition, DCD also wanted to establish the brand of Son La tea in the market.
Mr. Doan Dinh Khinh, representative of Van Ho Honey Co., Ltd., also said that with each participation in the agricultural product week, the company's honey, especially special types like honeycomb honey and honey from the single-flowered plant, is becoming more widely known and loved by consumers.
The "Son La Province Safe Agricultural Products and Food Week in Hai Phong 2025" will be inaugurated at 7:30 PM on August 21, 2025, and will run until August 24, 2025, at Co.op Mart Supermarket (No. 1 Le Hong Phong Street, Ngo Quyen Ward, Hai Phong City).
