According to the representative of the organizing unit, "Son La Province Safe Agricultural Products and Food Week in Hai Phong in 2025" has a scale of 40 booths, with the participation of enterprises and cooperatives in the communes and wards of Son La province. With the desire to support enterprises and cooperatives in consuming agricultural products, expanding markets, promoting brands and encouraging the production of high-quality goods.

In particular, to successfully organize the "Campaign for Vietnamese people to prioritize using Vietnamese goods", the event promises to bring to the people of Hai Phong city a space to display and experience the unique agricultural products of Son La province.

“Son La Province Safe Agricultural Products and Food Week in Hai Phong in 2025” is part of a series of events to promote and connect supply and demand for Son La’s safe agricultural products and food this year. Sharing with reporters of Cong Thuong Newspaper on the sidelines of the event, Ms. Le Thi Hong Anh, Director of the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of Son La province, informed that "Plum and Safe Agricultural Products and Food Week of Son La province in Hanoi in 2025" has a scale of 30 booths, with the participation of enterprises and cooperatives in districts, towns and cities of Son La province participating in the exhibition. The week is organized with the hope of becoming a prestigious destination, a place to introduce the typical quality specialties of Son La province.

Bringing high quality agricultural products to consumers

Regarding the province's agricultural products and food, Ms. Le Thi Hong Anh also said that Son La is a mountainous province located in the center of the Northwest of Vietnam, with a natural area of ​​over 14 thousand km², including 12 administrative units. This is the third largest province in the country, accounting for 39% of the Northwest region and 4.15% of the total natural area of ​​the country. The administrative center of Son La province is 302 km northwest of Hanoi. The population of Son La province is about 1.3 million people, with 12 ethnic groups living together.

In 2024, the province will have 188 OCOP products (an increase of 34 products compared to 2023); there will be 7 high-tech agricultural zones (an increase of 2 zones compared to 2023). The province will maintain and develop 308 safe agricultural and aquatic food supply chains; 29 agricultural and aquatic products will be granted protection certificates by the Department of Intellectual Property and 2 products will be granted protection certificates abroad.

Agricultural products have entered the supply chain of major domestic distribution systems such as Saigon Co.op, GO!, Winmart, Winmart+; consumed on e-commerce trading floors: Sendo, Voso, Postmart, Shopee. There have been 17 agricultural products of Son La province exported to markets of 21 countries, such as: USA, Australia, UK, France, Japan, Korea, China, UAE...

She also said that Son La is making efforts to develop high-quality agricultural and food products. Currently, Son La people, including ethnic minorities in remote areas of the province, are also being trained to cultivate agricultural products according to high standards such as VietGAP, GlobalGAP, and Organic.

“Through consumption promotion events, Son La hopes to connect units that connect the consumption of safe agricultural products with supermarket systems, trade centers, and agricultural processing and exporting enterprises.", Ms. Le Thi Hong Anh, shared.

In addition to supporting consumption, Son La provincial authorities also support local people in investing in machinery and deep processing equipment to increase the value of local agricultural products and increase income for local people, avoiding the situation of "good harvest, low price, good price, bad harvest".

As one of the units that regularly participates in events promoting the consumption of agricultural products in the province, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Lam, an employee of DCD Tea Company Limited, shared that the enterprise has 2 hectares of raw tea grown and cared for according to organic standards.

By participating in promotional events, businesses not only want to and have actually connected with many distributors. Besides, DCD also wants to affirm Son La tea brand in the market.

Mr. Doan Dinh Khinh, representative of Van Ho Honey Company Limited, also said that through each participation in the agricultural week, the company's honey, especially special types of honey such as honeycomb honey and single flower honey, are increasingly known and loved by consumers.
