In recent years, many models combining agricultural production with tourism, experiential services, and ethnic cuisine have emerged in Son La province. In Chieng Mung commune, the Muong Bon Agricultural Tourism Cooperative has leveraged the advantages of its beautiful natural landscape, cool climate, and unique culture to develop agriculture and fishing services combined with ethnic cuisine, bringing stable income to its members.
Spanning nearly 3 hectares, the family of Mr. Tong Van Diep in O Tra village, Chieng Mung commune, has developed the Diep Ngan homestay model, offering fishing services combined with photo opportunities by the lotus pond and ethnic cuisine. Here, visitors can immerse themselves in the natural scenery and relax after a long day of work.
Ms. Lo Thi Tam - Sub-district 1, Mai Son Commune, Son La Province:Today is a holiday, so our family went to Diep Ngan Homestay. There are recreational areas, restaurants, fishing spots, and local specialties. Our family, both the children and I, really enjoyed our time here.
Thanks to the harmonious combination of recreational services, attentive and thoughtful customer service, and especially the support of the Muong Bon Agricultural Tourism Cooperative, the homestay has attracted a stable number of guests. On average, the homestay welcomes 1,700 - 1,800 guests each month to experience and use its services.
Mr. Tong Van Diep - Diep Ngan Homestay, O Tra village, Chieng Mung commune, Son La province:Currently, we have two large huts and three smaller ones, plus a swimming pool under construction. Although not yet finished, we're continuously working to develop and improve it. Our family's motto is to prepare the freshest and most delicious food so that visitors will want to come back a second and third time.
Besides service activities, members of the cooperative have leveraged their potential and strengths to develop agriculture. Since joining the cooperative, members have received training in aquaculture techniques, livestock care, organic vegetable cultivation, and the application of safe production processes, creating high-quality products, avoiding oversupply at any one time, and ensuring stable prices and market outlets.
Mr. Tong Van Muoi - Ban Me, Chieng Mung commune, Son La province:As members of the cooperative, we exchange and learn from each other's experiences in production, as well as linking products together for consumption between service points and agricultural production sites. Through sharing and learning experiences, my family has harvested 15-20 tons, generating an income of 100-200 million VND.
The Muong Bon Agricultural Tourism Cooperative was established in April 2019 with 23 members. Of these, 12 member households are involved in production and business activities such as food and beverage services and entertainment for tourists, while 11 households are engaged in agriculture, livestock farming, and aquaculture. The cooperative regularly holds meetings with its members to exchange experiences in production and business, and to support each other's development. Thanks to unity and cooperation in its operations, the cooperative has created linkages, contributing to the consumption of agricultural products and improving the quality of experiential services.

Mr. Tong Van Thu - Director of Muong Bon Agricultural Tourism Cooperative, Chieng Mung Commune, Son La Province:In the near future, we are also encouraging our current members to develop and expand service models and experiential games related to the service, as well as to expand the range of high-yield, economically viable crops.
By improving operational quality and diversifying production services in conjunction with the development of experiential tourism, the Muong Bon Agricultural Tourism Cooperative has become an important "bridge," helping farmers connect production, consumption, and tourism, gradually increasing income for its members.
