On the afternoon of September 10th, at Met Sai village, Yen Chau commune, the People's Committee of Yen Chau commune, in coordination with Yen Chau Shoe Joint Stock Company, inaugurated the Yen Chau Shoe Factory. Attending the inauguration ceremony were Comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee of Son La province; leaders of provincial departments and agencies; members of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Chau commune; and leaders of several neighboring localities.

The Yen Chau Shoe Factory was officially inaugurated and put into operation after more than 14 months of construction. This project is of significant importance in the development of light industry, creating stable livelihoods for local people.

The Yen Chau Shoe Factory, invested by Ngoc Ha Shoe Joint Stock Company (Hanoi), covers a total area of 2.32 hectares with an investment of over 49 billion VND in phase 1. The project includes three main factory areas, an administrative area, warehouses, and auxiliary facilities, accommodating approximately 2,000 workers. The designed production capacity is approximately 600,000 products per year during the 2025-2030 period and nearly 1 million products per year after 2030.

This is a modern export footwear factory, utilizing advanced equipment such as electronic sewing machines, automatic cutting machines, and computer-controlled machines. To date, the factory has employed nearly 500 workers, mostly local laborers, with an average income of 5-7 million VND per month and full insurance coverage. Previously, over 200 workers were sent for training at facilities in Phu Yen and Hanoi, still receiving a salary of 3.5 million VND per person per month during their apprenticeship. In the coming period, Yen Chau Footwear Company affirms that it will continue to expand its production scale, striving to create jobs for nearly 3,000 workers in phase 2, while committing to developing in a modern and sustainable direction, making a positive contribution to the socio-economic development of Son La province.

At the inauguration ceremony of the Yen Chau Shoe Factory, Comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, expressed his joy at this significant event and extended his congratulations to the delegates and the people of Yen Chau commune. He acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the investor, the construction unit, the support from all levels of government, and the consensus of the people. He requested that the Yen Chau Shoe Company manage and operate safely and efficiently; pay attention to the rights of workers, protect the environment, and cooperate with the locality in social welfare work. He urged relevant departments and the government to continue to remove difficulties and create favorable conditions for the factory's operation. The local people need to support and cooperate so that the project can be effective.
To maximize the investment efficiency of the Project, the Provincial Party Secretary requested that Yen Chau Footwear Joint Stock Company focus its human resources and equipment, organize management, operation, and exploitation of the Project to ensure safety and efficiency. The company should strictly comply with legal regulations, ensure the rights of its employees, pay attention to environmental protection, and actively cooperate with the local authorities in social welfare work.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives and 2 individuals; the People's Committee of Yen Chau commune awarded Certificates of Merit to 6 collectives and 12 individuals for their contributions to the construction of the factory.
