Yen Chau Shoe Factory was officially inaugurated and put into operation after more than 14 months of construction. This is an important project in the development of light industry, creating stable livelihoods for local people.

Yen Chau Shoe Factory is invested by Ngoc Ha Shoe Joint Stock Company (Hanoi), with a total area of ​​2.32 hectares, phase 1 investment capital of more than 49 billion VND. The project includes 3 main factory areas, administrative area, warehouse and auxiliary works, meeting the scale of about 2,000 workers. The designed capacity is about 600,000 products/year in the period of 2025 - 2030 and nearly 1 million products/year after 2030.

This is a modern export footwear factory, using many advanced equipment such as: electronic sewing machines, automatic cutting machines, computer-controlled machines. Up to now, the factory has recruited nearly 500 workers, mostly local workers, with an average income of 5-7 million VND/month, fully implementing the insurance regime. Previously, more than 200 workers were sent for training at facilities in Phu Yen and Hanoi, still receiving a salary of 3.5 million VND/person/month during the apprenticeship period. In the coming time, Yen Chau Shoe Company affirms that it will continue to expand its production scale, strive to create jobs for nearly 3,000 workers in phase 2, and commit to develop in a modern, sustainable direction, contributing positively to the socio-economic development of Son La province.

At the inauguration ceremony of Yen Chau Shoe Factory, Comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, expressed his joy at this important event and sent his congratulations to the delegates and people of Yen Chau commune. He acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the investor, the construction unit, the support from authorities at all levels and the consensus of the people. He requested Yen Chau Shoe Company to manage and operate safely and effectively; care for the rights of workers, protect the environment and accompany the locality in social security work. Departments, branches and authorities continue to remove difficulties and create favorable conditions for the factory to operate. Local people need to support and accompany the project to promote its effectiveness.

To promote the investment efficiency of the Project, the Provincial Party Secretary requested: Yen Chau Shoe Joint Stock Company to concentrate maximum human resources, equipment, organization, management, operation and exploitation, use the Project to ensure safety and efficiency. Strictly comply with the provisions of the law, ensure the rights of workers, pay attention to environmental protection and actively accompany the locality in social security work.

On this occasion, the Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 groups and 2 individuals; Yen Chau Commune People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 6 groups and 12 individuals who made contributions to the construction of the Factory.
