In order to promote the culture and tourism of Son La province, in 2025 the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will organize many tourism competitions to create a creative playground for the community to participate in promoting the local image.

It is known that from May 5, 2025, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Son La issued Plan No. 1072/KH-SVHTT&DL on the implementation of tourism competitions in 2025, including: (1) Son La tourism video clip; (2) Beautiful tourism photos; (3) Creating tourism slogans; (4) Designing tours and tourism explanations; (5) Award for recognizing Son La tourism brand.
The purpose of these competitions is to create opportunities for organizations and individuals to unleash their creativity and artistic spirit; to promote and publicize the friendly and hospitable people and land of Son La, its unique and attractive tourism products, culture, and local specialties; and to attract more investment and tourists to Son La.
Recently, on September 14, 2025, the Department issued Official Letter No. 2556/SVHTT&DL-QLDL regarding the extension of the deadline for receiving entries. Accordingly, the deadline for receiving entries on the website: https://cuocthidulich.vhttdl.sonla.gov.vn has been extended until the end of the day.10/11/2025.
Information about the competitions:
1. Award for recognizing Son La province's tourism brand in 2025
Includes 05 voting categories: (1) Tourist area, tourist spot, tourist attraction (historical, cultural relics, scenic spots). (2) Typical hotel. (3) Typical other accommodation establishments (tourist apartments, guesthouses, homestays, campsites...). (4) Standard food and beverage service establishments. (5) Standard shopping service establishments.
2. Son La Tourism Slogan Contest 2025
Based on the Son La tourism logo provided by the Organizing Committee, the authors of the Son La tourism slogans are free to develop their own ideas; however, the works must adhere closely to the content and ideas of the Son La tourism logo, be highly generalized, and ensure that they convey the meaning and outstanding, unique, and distinctive characteristics that are sufficient to identify and affirm the Son La tourism brand, contributing to attracting domestic and international tourists to Son La.
3. Son La Tour Design and Tourism Guide Competition 2025
Entries should be video clips or slides (automatically played slides with sound, images, and narration) showcasing tour design ideas and tourism explanations, focusing on introducing typical destinations in Son La province such as: natural landscapes, historical relics, scenic spots, community tourism villages, traditional craft villages, festivals, cultural and tourism events, customs and traditions, unique cultural features, folk art, traditional cuisine, characteristic tourism products… trekking, hiking, photo tours. Each tour design needs to have a clear theme and message, reflecting unique identity, creativity, connection to real-world experiences, suitability to local conditions, and the potential for effective organization and exploitation in practice.
4. Son La Tourism Video Clip Creation Contest 2025
The entries are video clips created between 2024 and the time of submission, capturing beautiful moments of natural landscapes, historical and cultural relics, scenic spots, tourist destinations, types of tourism, traditional craft villages, festivals, cultural and tourism events; moments of life, unique cultural features, customs and traditions, folk art and cultural activities, culinary culture, exploration and experience of tourism products; and introducing the tourism development potential and tourism resources in Son La province.
5. Son La Tourism Photo Contest 2025
The entries for the "Beautiful Photos of Son La Tourism, 2025" contest reflect the vibrant and authentic beauty of the land, life, and people of Son La today through a specific tourism lens: Images of destinations, natural landscapes, scenic spots, historical relics, and cultural heritage in Son La province; Images of moments of life, the beauty of daily activities, customs, and cultural beauty of the people of Son La's ethnic groups; Images of moments of exploring and experiencing tourism products and services, local culture, and immersing oneself in the lives of local people at tourist areas, destinations, and accommodation establishments in Son La province; Images of various types of tourism, unique cultural and tourism architectural works, folk culture, culinary culture, traditional crafts, and typical festival activities in Son La province.
