Former provincial leaders attended the commemoration ceremony.
Thirteen years is a long journey, forged by the sweat, intellect, and patriotism of generations of people in Son La, of the mountain villages, of the ethnic minorities, and of the whole country in defending the borders and building the nation. Son La preserves sacred memories, where every inch of land is steeped in the sweat, tears, and even blood and bones of countless generations, intertwined with the glorious victories of the nation.
After national reunification, Son La faced another battle: the battle against poverty, backwardness, and isolation due to mountainous terrain and rugged landscapes. Continuing its glorious tradition, the will and faith of the people of Son La once again led to victory. A victory of intelligence and resilience in peacetime. Rising from hardship, Son La, a hilly land at the headwaters of the Ma and Da rivers, has now become the agricultural capital of the entire Northwest region, confidently embarking on a new path of sustainable development, integration, and innovation.
In the atmosphere of pride celebrating the 130th anniversary of the founding of Son La province, on behalf of the Party, the Party leadership, and the State, along with my personal feelings, I would like to extend my respectful greetings and best wishes to the Party Committee, the government, and the people of all ethnic groups in Son La province.
Thank you to the generations of leaders in Son La who have persistently guided this journey through the challenges.
I would like to express my appreciation to the people of all ethnic groups and the farmers of Son La who always confidently turn the impossible into the possible.
We acknowledge the positive contributions of the business community that has been closely associated with this hilly region, further instilling confidence and aspirations for change in this gem of the Northwest.
Dear fellow countrymen, comrades, and all distinguished delegates!
In the rugged, mountainous Northwest region, the Party Committee, government, and people of Son La province have together created an agricultural miracle amidst the clouds. From the cornfields and cassava plantations of yesteryear, Son La has risen to become the leading province in the North in terms of fruit tree cultivation area. Moc Chau plums, Song Ma longan, Yen Chau mangoes, Thuan Chau passion fruit, and Son La coffee have spread the flavors of the Northwest mountains throughout the world. Lush green tea hills, ecological farms, community models, and roads paving the way for tourism, trade, knowledge, and technology continue to tell the proud story of transformation in this land that has persistently turned difficulties into driving forces.
Farmers in Son La confidently participate in community institutions, jointly planting trees to preserve forests, and engaging in agriculture while also considering ecotourism and cultural tourism. The entrepreneurial story of the Thai ethnic women's group associated with the Aratay coffee cooperative is a beautiful image of a Son La undergoing fundamental transformation. Every citizen, every cooperative, every community becomes a creative force in development. Coffee beans grown on the windy mountain slopes have confidently broken free from conventional methods, no longer just raw coffee beans, but integrating processing techniques, branding, culture, and tourism. Son La coffee is not only delicious but also has a rich and emotional story, imbued with the value of local resources.
The world is changing rapidly, but some values endure: solidarity, self-reliance, and the aspiration for progress. Son La has been, is, and will continue to be a land of willpower and creativity, a storyteller of the Northwest mountains and forests in the era of national development. Development is not only reflected in economic growth figures but also encompasses the vitality in each village, the smiles of the people, and the faith of the younger generation.

Comrade Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, delivered a speech acknowledging the directives of Comrade Le Minh Hoan, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.
Dear fellow countrymen and comrades, and all distinguished delegates!
While on a business trip through Moc Chau some time ago, I came across a young man from Son La wearing a T-shirt while riding a motorbike, and it left a deep impression on me to this day. On the back of his shirt was written: "We will win together."
It is certain that the Party Committee, the government, the business community, farmers, women, intellectuals, youth, and people of all ethnic groups have always joined forces to transform Son La from a remote and difficult land into a symbol of aspiration to rise above adversity. The steep terrain is no longer an obstacle but has become a stepping stone to sustainable development.
If every hill is a story, every stream a song, then Son La is an epic poem of wisdom, resilience, and human kindness. A land of steep slopes, yet its people remain sincere, steadfast, and confident, rising up with their own hands and minds.
On every step of the slope, Son La is progressing steadily and rapidly with enduring vitality, a spirit of unity, and a yearning for prosperity. I wish all delegates, fellow citizens, and comrades good health, happiness, and success.
Thank you very much!
