Former provincial leaders attended the ceremony.
130 years is a long journey, crystallized by the sweat, intelligence and patriotism of many generations of Son La people, of the mountain villages, of the ethnic people who together with the whole country maintained the border and built the Fatherland. Son La preserves a sacred memory, where every inch of land is soaked with sweat, tears and blood of many generations, merging with the glorious feats of arms of the nation.
The country was unified, Son La continued to face another war, the war against poverty, backwardness, and division by mountains and rugged terrain. Continuing the heroic tradition, the will and belief of the Son La people once again created victory. A victory of intelligence and determination in peacetime. Rising from hardship, Son La, a sloping land, the source of the Ma River and the Da River, has now become the agricultural capital of the entire Northwest region, confidently entering a new stage, the stage of sustainable development, integration and creativity.
In the proud atmosphere welcoming the 130th anniversary of the founding of Son La province, on behalf of the Party, Party leaders and State, along with personal feelings, I would like to send my respectful greetings and best wishes to the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Son La province.
Thank you to the generations of Son La leaders who have persistently led the journey uphill.
I would like to express my respect to the ethnic people and farmers of Son La who are always confident in turning the impossible into possible.
We would like to acknowledge the positive contributions of the business community that has been attached to the sloping land, adding to the belief and aspiration for change in the pearl of the Northwest.
Dear compatriots, comrades, and all delegates!
Right in the steep and difficult Northwest, the Party Committee, government and people of Son La province have together created an agricultural miracle amidst the clouds. From the corn and cassava fields of the past, Son La has risen to lead the North in terms of fruit tree area. Moc Chau plums, Song Ma longans, Yen Chau mangoes, Thuan Chau passion fruit, and Son La coffee have spread the flavor of the Northwest mountains and forests all over the world. The green tea hills, ecological farms, community models, and roads opening the way for tourism, trade, knowledge and technology continue to tell the proud story of change of the land that persistently turns difficulties into motivation.
Son La farmers confidently participate in community institutions, planting trees together to protect forests, doing agriculture together to think about eco-tourism and culture. The start-up story of a group of Thai ethnic women associated with the Aratay coffee cooperative is a beautiful image of a Son La that is renewed from the roots. When each person, each cooperative, each community becomes a creative subject of development. Coffee beans grown on windy hillsides have confidently stepped out of the beaten path, not only raw coffee beans but also integrated processing methods, linking brands, culture and tourism. Son La coffee is not only delicious but also has an emotional story, rich in the value of indigenous resources.
The world is changing very quickly, but there are values that are eternal, which are the spirit of solidarity, self-reliance and the desire to rise up. Son La has been, is and will continue to be the land of will and creativity, the storyteller of the Northwest mountains and forests in the era of the country's rise. Development is not only reflected in economic growth figures but also includes the vitality of each village, each smile of the people and the belief of the young generation.
Comrade Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, spoke to receive the direction of Comrade Le Minh Hoan, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.
Dear compatriots and comrades, dear delegates!
On a business trip through Moc Chau before, I came across the image of a T-shirt worn by a young man from Son La riding a motorbike that has left a deep impression until now. On the back of that young man's shirt was written the words: "We win together".
Certainly, the Party, government, business community, farmers, women, intellectuals, and youth of all ethnic groups have always joined hands and hearts to turn Son La from a remote and difficult land in the past into a symbol of aspiration to rise up amidst difficulties. Steep terrain is no longer an obstacle but has become a stepping stone to sustainable development.
If each hill is a story, each stream is a song, then Son La is the epic of intelligence, determination and humanity. A sloping land but the people are always sincere, steadfast, confident in rising up with their own hands and minds.
On each step, Son La advances steadily and rapidly with its tenacious vitality, its spirit of solidarity and its desire for prosperity. I wish all delegates, compatriots and comrades good health, happiness and success.
Thank you very much!
