2024 marks the 6th year the Vietnam Trail Marathon has been held in Moc Chau district. This year's race attracted over 4,000 athletes from 40 countries and territories worldwide. Athletes competed in the following races: 70 km, 42 km, 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km. According to the organizers, this year's race had a high level of professionalism and a larger number of participants compared to previous years. The race is considered to have one of the most beautiful terrains in Vietnam. Moc Chau, with its impressive routes, picturesque scenery, and the friendliness and hospitality of its people, provided athletes with an unforgettable experience participating in the 2024 Vietnam Trail Marathon. Along the race route, the athletes encountered many people from the ethnic minority communities of Son La province standing on both sides of the road, welcoming and cheering them on, making the athletes participating in the race and tourists alike feel warmly welcomed.

Participating in the race, athletes are challenged with various terrains, such as lush tea hills, Phieng Canh, Na Ka, and Mu Nau plum valleys, and pristine villages with friendly and hospitable locals. The bright smiles and cheers from tourists and Moc Chau people, along with children in colorful H'Mong, Thai, and Dao ethnic minority costumes running alongside to cheer and offer beautiful flowers, are truly unique experiences that leave a lasting impression on the athletes. Along with being voted as the leading natural destination in the region and internationally, Moc Chau has attracted tourists from all over the country and abroad with its natural scenery, climate, and people.
