The third Sơn La Provincial Political Essay Contest on Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation, 2025, was launched from February 3rd, 2025 to May 30th, 2025. The Contest Steering Committee received 464 entries; including 233 magazine articles; 128 print newspaper articles; 70 online newspaper articles; 9 television entries; 7 video/clip entries; and 17 radio entries.

As a result, 145 out of 464 entries qualified for the next round of judging by the Jury. Based on the judging results, the Steering Committee of the competition unanimously awarded 77 prizes, including: 17 B prizes; 21 C prizes; 36 consolation prizes; and 3 special prizes for outstanding collectives from the Provincial Political School and the oldest and youngest authors. At the same time, 77 out of 145 entries were selected to participate in the fifth Political Essay Competition on Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation, 2025, organized by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department reported on the assessment of the quality of the entries submitted to the competition.
According to the competition's Steering Committee, the entries were diverse, encompassing various genres, and featured new discoveries, innovations, and solutions to address shortcomings, all in the spirit of "using positive forces to overcome negative ones" and "using beauty to eliminate ugliness." The content of the entries adhered to the thematic guidelines; the quality of the entries improved compared to the previous year, with many entries presenting and arguing to highlight key issues and solutions in protecting the Party's ideological foundation and combating erroneous and hostile viewpoints in the new situation.
