On October 3rd, the People's Committee of Son La province held its 51st session of the 15th term (2021-2026) to review the results of socio-economic development and national defense and security in September and to implement key tasks for October 2025.
Sơn La province's budget revenue for the first nine months of the year is estimated at 3,950 billion VND.
Accordingly, as of September 2025, all levels, sectors, and localities have focused on implementing socio-economic development tasks and the 2025 State budget plan; and promoting patriotic emulation movements to celebrate the Party Congresses at all levels leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party.
Implement public investment plans, maintain effective state management in all fields, ensuring service to the people and political tasks; promptly address the consequences of natural disasters and stabilize people's lives; and maintain national defense, security, and social order.
Economic indicators continued to grow: Total retail sales of goods in the first nine months reached VND 30,861 billion, an increase of 14.8% compared to the same period last year; state budget revenue in the area was estimated at VND 3,950 billion; service revenue in the first nine months reached VND 4,861 billion, an increase of 6.4%; the total number of tourists reached approximately 4.143 million, an increase of 6.9%; the value of exported goods reached USD 150.3 million, an increase of 8.6%. Cultural, educational, health, and social welfare sectors received attention; foreign relations activities were maintained and strengthened.
During this session, delegates discussed many important issues, such as: solutions to overcome difficulties in disbursing public investment capital; compensation, support, and land clearance for key projects; and solutions to achieve growth targets.
At the same time, provide feedback on draft Decisions of the Provincial People's Committee on supplementing the 2025 budget; adjusting the remaining state budget expenditure estimates for districts when implementing the two-tiered local government in 2025; announcing the list of priority locations and sectors for organizing trade fairs and exhibitions in 2026; and regulations on the management of industrial clusters in the province.
Vice Chairman of the Son La Provincial People's Committee, Trang Thi Xuan, requested that departments, agencies, and the People's Committees of communes and wards focus on implementing socio-economic development targets and budget estimates for 2025; effectively operate the two-tiered local government model; proactively overcome the consequences of floods and heavy rains; and meticulously prepare for the celebration of the 130th anniversary of the province's establishment (October 10, 1895 - October 10, 2025).
