VHO - Son La Newspaper, Radio and Television, in coordination with the Son La Provincial Cultural and Film Center, recently organized the "Returning to My Village" Gameshow for October 2025 in Nam Ty and Chieng Khuong communes, aiming to promote the traditional cultural identity of ethnic groups and improve cultural life at the grassroots level in Son La province.

The game show "Returning to My Village" is broadcast by Son La Radio and Television Station, aiming to introduce the cultural beauty and life of villages in the highlands of Son La. The program is not only a cultural activity but also a bridge helping people, especially the younger generation of ethnic minorities, preserve and promote their ethnic cultural identity, fostering pride in and connection with their language and traditional culture.

The October 2025 episode of the game show "Returning to My Village" was filmed in both Vietnamese and Thai, and broadcast on STV channel, the digital platforms of Son La Newspaper and Radio and Television, and also on VTV5 channel of Vietnam Television.

In Nam Ty commune, the program featured the participation of over 60 artisans and grassroots cultural figures from the three villages of Pin, Chieng Vang, and Dua Pan. The teams competed in three sections: "Skilled Hands, Talented Crafts," "Singing Well, Playing Musical Instruments Well," and "Traditional Folk Games and Ethnic Sports."

In Chiềng Khương commune, the participation of 3 teams from Cỏ, Nà Hò, and Tiên Sơn villages created a lively atmosphere with many competitions related to the daily life and work of the local people, such as longan fruit spinning, throwing the "con" (a traditional game), and folk singing and dancing.

The highlight of the program was the vibrant cultural colors of the Thai ethnic group, showcased through skillful traditional crafts, dancing, singing, and musical instrument performances, along with a spirit of unity in folk games. The competitions created a joyful and exciting atmosphere, attracting a large number of local people to watch and cheer.

Over the years, the "Returning to My Village" game show has become a familiar source of entertainment for people in the villages of Son La, contributing to the diversification of local television programs, encouraging mass cultural activities, and preserving and promoting the traditional cultural identity of ethnic groups in conjunction with tourism development and improving cultural life at the grassroots level in Son La.
