Mr. Do Van Xiem, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ta Xua commune, introduces local tourism to visitors.
Mr. Do Van Xiem provided an overview of the natural conditions, climate, and distinctive landscapes of Ta Xua – known as the "cloud paradise" of Son La province. He also emphasized the development orientation of community-based tourism, linked to the preservation of ethnic cultural identity, environmental protection, and encouraging local people to participate in sustainable tourism. Besides the attention and support of the Party and State through socio-economic development programs for mountainous and rural areas, the role of local government leaders remains crucial in spreading the spirit and unleashing the potential of local tourism. When leaders understand the unique characteristics of the land, grasp the local culture, and proactively connect with tourists, it is an effective starting point for the development of community-based tourism.
Ta Xua is currently considered one of the most promising destinations for tourism in the Northwest mountainous region. With its unique topography, majestic landscapes, fresh climate, and rich cultural identity of ethnic minority communities, it possesses many advantages for developing ecotourism and experiential tourism. However, due to its low starting point and limited infrastructure and services, Ta Xua urgently needs more supportive policies and systematic, long-term investment to effectively exploit this potential.
Ta Xua is known as the "Cloud Paradise" of Son La province.
The image of the Chairman of Ta Xua commune directly introducing his hometown not only demonstrates the sense of responsibility of a local official, but also serves as vivid evidence of a tourism approach based on understanding, closeness to the people, and stemming from a genuine love for one's homeland. This is also a direction that needs to be replicated to create sustainable development for community tourism in many localities across the country.
