on the occasion of the traditional New Year of the Vietnamese people.

Both sides have informed each other about the highlights of the socio-economic situation, national defense and security, and important events of the two countries in the year; as well as the results of the twinning, coordination, and foreign defense activities between the Military Commands of Sơn La and Huaphanh provinces. In the coming time, the Military Commands of the two provinces will continue to effectively cooperate in protecting border sovereignty and security; strengthen cooperation, exchange information and experience in building localities, maintaining security and order, and social safety in the border areas, contributing to building a stable and comprehensively developing Vietnam-Laos border.

Major General Kham Muong Khot Vong Khun thanked the Son La Provincial Military Command for its attention, coordination and support in all aspects of work in the past time and believed that in the coming time, the Hua Phan Provincial Military Command and the Son La Provincial Military Command would continue to closely coordinate, regularly grasp information and exchange situations; promote activities, foster solidarity, special friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the Party, State, Army and People of the two countries.
