The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Son La province recently organized a training conference for officials at all levels on developing agricultural and rural tourism in conjunction with the New Rural Development Program in 2025.

The conference was attended by more than 60 participants, including commune officials responsible for culture and tourism, agriculture, and rural development in Son La province.
The conference, organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Son La province, aims to support localities in building and developing distinctive tourism products, promoting digital transformation, connecting markets, attracting tourists, contributing to sustainable rural economic development, and working towards the goal of developing Son La tourism in a green, rapid, and sustainable direction.
At the conference, participants received presentations from lecturers of the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture on topics including state management of tourism and agricultural tourism, agricultural models linked to the new rural development program; developing agricultural tourism in conjunction with the new rural development program; developing agricultural tourism along the value chain; building and evaluating agricultural tourism models; guidance on management mechanisms and model organization; building rural tourism destination brands; and digital transformation trends in tourism development.

In addition, trainees are equipped with skills in creating digital content, applying artificial intelligence (AI) in promoting tourism products and services; and applying e-commerce in promoting rural tourism. They also have the opportunity to visit and learn from exemplary agricultural tourism models in the Moc Chau National Tourist Area.
During the training process, instructors and trainees actively exchanged and shared practical experiences, proposing many ideas and solutions for developing tourism linked to agriculture and rural areas, tailored to the specific characteristics of each locality. Simultaneously, trainees were organized to visit and learn from several agricultural models integrated with tourism development in the Moc Chau National Tourist Area.
