Amidst the vibrant pink hues of ripening flowers on the Moc Chau plateau, many tourists flock to check in and capture the sweet beauty of autumn in the Northwest region.

From the end of September to mid-November, the Moc Chau plateau (Son La province) is filled with the golden-orange hues of ripening persimmon orchards. This vibrant and romantic scene not only signals the harvest season but also becomes an attractive destination for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts.

This crisp persimmon variety, originating from Japan, was first experimentally cultivated in Moc Chau in 2000 and quickly adapted to the highland climate.

Over the years, persimmon trees have become one of the characteristic agricultural products, providing a stable income for the people while also creating a unique tourist attraction on the plateau.

Beyond just harvesting the fruit, the persimmon season in Moc Chau also transforms it into an ideal check-in spot.

Visitors can immerse themselves in nature, explore vast persimmon orchards, personally select crisp, early-season persimmons, and capture memorable moments amidst the vibrant yellow blossoms.

"We went to Moc Chau for two days and one night to visit and take photos. The persimmon orchards are beautiful, and the afternoon sun makes the golden persimmons even more vibrant. Taking pictures here is both enjoyable and close to nature," shared a tourist from Hanoi.

"The whole group wanted to capture the entire persimmon season on the plateau. The fresh air and beautiful scenery made every photo so vibrant," said Mai Anh, from Bac Ninh.

The owner of a persimmon orchard in Thao Nguyen ward, Son La province, shared: "We leave the fruit on the trees so that visitors can freely take pictures and experience picking persimmons. This is a way to help people understand more about the traditional crops of the region, while also increasing our family's income."

Besides tourists, the persimmon season also attracts many young women and groups of friends who come to take photos. In their graceful dresses, with radiant smiles beside branches laden with persimmons, they create picturesque autumn scenes on the plateau.

This is the perfect time to capture the moments of the persimmon season, from the gentle afternoon sunlight to the expansive garden spaces, all creating a vibrant picture amidst nature.

With its vibrant yellow color, distinctive sweet and refreshing flavor, and unique photo-taking experience, Moc Chau persimmons are not only a valuable agricultural product but also contribute to enlivening the autumn season on the plateau, becoming one of the must-visit destinations for tourists every year.
