The delegation of Xay Som Bun province, Lao PDR thanked Son La province for its warm welcome and solidarity. At the same time, he expressed his deep gratitude for Son La province's wholehearted and selfless support for Xay Som Bun province in the following areas: Training of cadres working in localities; training of labor resources in the fields of health, culture, education; and support for the construction of a number of infrastructure projects in the province. Lieutenant General Vong Son-In Pan Phim hopes that the two provinces will continue to have extensive cooperation in all areas. At the same time, he sent his best wishes for the New Year to the cadres and people of Son La province.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of Son La Provincial Party Committee suggested that in the coming time, the two provinces continue to strengthen dialogue in various fields. Along with that, Son La province committed to continue supporting Xay Som Bun province in the fields that have been deployed in the past time. Hoping that the two provinces will effectively implement the signed programs and projects.

On the same day, the delegation of Xay Som Bun Provincial People's Council led by Comrade Kham Phu Thon-Vong Pha Chan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, extended New Year greetings to the Son La Provincial People's Council. Comrade Nguyen Thai Hung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Son La Provincial People's Council and representatives of the Provincial People's Council Committees welcomed and worked with the delegation.

At the meeting, the leaders of the two provinces reviewed the special solidarity and friendship between the two Parties and the two States of Vietnam and Laos in general, and between the people of Son La province and the ethnic groups of Xay Som Bun province in particular. On behalf of the working delegation, comrade Kham Phu Thon - Vong Pha Chan sent New Year greetings to the leaders of the People's Council of Son La province and the people of Son La province. He requested the People's Council of Son La province to discuss further the operating model of the Provincial People's Council Office; the discussion of draft resolutions, and the issuance of resolutions in the economic and social fields of the province.
