The organization of these activities aims to create a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere among the people; to awaken patriotism, historical traditions, the spirit of great unity, national pride, self-reliance, and self-strength; to preserve and promote the good customs and traditions of the ethnic groups in the province, contributing to consolidating and strengthening the people's confidence in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, innovation, and international integration under the leadership of the Party; and to affirm the great and outstanding achievements of the Party Committee, government, military, and people of all ethnic groups in Son La Province in the process of fighting, building, and developing.

These are practical activities to celebrate the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and representatives to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. Through these activities, the province of Son La is promoted and introduced to its cultural potential, people, and tourism, attracting domestic and international visitors to explore investment opportunities, exchanges, and cooperation in the era of integration.

According to the Plan, the province will carry out information and propaganda work through mass media: the provincial newspaper and radio and television station, the local broadcasting system, the provincial and sectoral websites; and disseminate information on digital platforms of the provincial newspaper and radio and television station, Zalo, Facebook, etc. Special pages, sections, and themes will be opened for extensive propaganda before, during, and after major anniversaries and holidays.

Compiling propaganda materials and creating poster designs for distribution to grassroots units; editing propaganda materials in Thai and Hmong languages, printing and distributing them to grassroots units; integrating these activities with the operations of mobile propaganda teams and mobile film screenings at the grassroots level. Preparing books, newspapers, and publications for readers at the Provincial Museum and Library; the state-run public library system and post office-cultural centers in communes and wards; and book stations and book collections throughout the province. In addition, the province will implement visual propaganda; organize cultural and information vehicles for roadside propaganda; and decorate and beautify urban areas…

The propaganda content was implemented according to the guidelines of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department.

Regarding cultural, artistic, sports, and tourism activities, the following events will take place at the provincial level: An art program celebrating the successful conclusion of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam; the Son La Provincial Ethnic Sports Competition; an art program celebrating the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026); celebrating New Year's Eve and the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026; and the Son La Provincial Tennis and Pickleball Club Tournament. The exhibition of books and newspapers celebrating the Party and the Spring Festival of the Year of the Horse 2026" and the "Spring Festival Newspaper Reading Room of the Year of the Horse 2026"; the art program to welcome the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; the 24th Vietnam Poetry Day; the Olympic Run for Public Health; the "Returning to the Source" festival at the Son La Prison National Special Monument; the Moc Chau Culture and Tourism Week 2026; the 10th Provincial Sports and Physical Education Congress 2026; the preparation of athletes to participate in the 10th National Sports and Physical Education Congress in Ho Chi Minh City; the second Son La Provincial Coffee Festival, 2026; and the event: "Colors of Son La and Northwest Vietnam" in Ho Chi Minh City. In addition, agencies, units, and localities will organize celebrations of founding anniversaries, traditional days, and other commemorative days in 2026.

At the commune/ward level, based on the specific situation, organize propaganda activities, cultural and artistic activities, and sports activities; effectively organize information and propaganda work through newspapers, magazines, websites, social networks, visual promotion, billboards, posters, slogans... celebrating the Party and the Lunar New Year of the Horse; commemorating major holidays, anniversaries and important political events taking place in 2026. Organize cultural, sports and tourism events to preserve and promote cultural values ​​associated with the development of tourism and agriculture in the communes/wards.
