The report on the implementation of the election of National Assembly deputies for the 16th term and People's Council representatives at all levels for the 2026-2031 term in Yen Chau commune shows that on November 13, 2025, the People's Committee of the commune issued Decision No. 657/QD-UBND on the establishment of the Yen Chau Commune Election Committee for the 2026-2031 term, consisting of 17 members.

Based on the former 5 communes and 1 town of Yen Chau district; and the number of voters in the villages, on December 31, 2025, the People's Committee of the commune issued Decision No. 949/QD-UBND on the establishment of 6 Election Committees for the election of People's Council representatives at the commune level, ensuring the number, composition and time as prescribed.
Regarding the results of the first round of consultations, for the Son La Provincial People's Council representatives, Yen Chau commune was allocated to nominate 3 candidates. The commune Party Committee issued Plan No. 59-KH/DU dated January 9, 2026, on organizing a joint conference to gather opinions from voters at their workplaces regarding the candidates expected to be nominated for the People's Council representatives for the 2026-2031 term, to be completed before January 20, 2026.
