Accordingly, trade promotion activities are implemented systematically, with a focus on key areas, closely adhering to the spirit of Resolution No. 06-NQ/TU of the Son La Provincial Party Committee on the development of agricultural processing industry in the period 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030. The focus is on strengthening the dissemination and promotion of the investment environment, preferential policies, potential, and strengths of Son La province, while supporting businesses and cooperatives in improving their capacity to access markets in the context of increasingly widespread digital transformation.
Within the province, Son La organizes skills training courses.trade promotionThis is linked to digital transformation, helping businesses and production and trading establishments improve their ability to apply technology, e-commerce, and digital communication in product consumption. Along with this is a series of events to introduce, promote, and facilitate trade and product consumption, with close coordination between departments, agencies, and the People's Committees of communes and wards, ensuring widespread dissemination and relevance to the specific conditions of each locality.

Notably, Son La province continues to implement programs promoting local agricultural products on Vietnam Airlines flights, bringing images of distinctive products directly to domestic and international passengers. Simultaneously, the "Bringing Vietnamese Goods to Rural and Remote Areas" program in 2026 aims to expand markets, contribute to price stabilization, and improve people's access to quality goods.
Outside the province, Son La is actively organizing the Week of Safe Agricultural Products and Food in major provinces and cities; participating in regional, national, and international trade fairs, exhibitions, and conferences such as: Vietnam Expo 2026, Vietnam Regional Specialty Fair, China-Vietnam Border Economic, Trade and Tourism Fair, Vietnam FOODEXPO 2026… Through these events, the province not only promotes its brand.agricultural products of Son LaFurthermore, it facilitates the connection between supply and demand, helps find partners, and expands a sustainable distribution network.

In addition, investment promotion activities have been intensified through the creation of publications and documents introducing the investment environment; and increased dissemination of information through central and local television, radio, and print media channels. Investment consulting and support programs such as the "Businessmen's Coffee 2026" are being implemented to welcome investors seeking opportunities in Son La, creating a friendly, open, and supportive environment for businesses.
Notably, the workindustrial promotionSon La continues to implement a comprehensive approach, from supporting the application of advanced machinery and equipment, building brands, designing product packaging, to displaying and promoting rural industrial products and OCOP products at fairs and exhibitions inside and outside the province. With early implementation plans, a clear roadmap, and close coordination among all levels, sectors, and the business community, Son La is gradually realizing its goal of rapid and sustainable development, affirming its position as an attractive destination for investment, trade, and tourism in the Northwest region and the whole country.
According to a report by the People's Committee of Son La province, the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Son La province in 2025 is estimated to reach VND 38,991,689 million, an increase of 8.03% compared to the same period last year. Specifically, the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector is estimated to reach VND 9,144,545 million; the industry and construction sector is estimated to reach VND 11,288,791 million; and the service sector is estimated to reach VND 16,579,862 million.
