For those visiting Moc Chau for the first time, the white blossoms of plum trees evoke a different image of Vietnam: not only the blue sea and fertile plains, but also gentle plateaus where people and nature blend harmoniously.

Plum blossoms may not be flamboyant or ostentatious, but their simple, delicate beauty creates a unique attraction for tourists visiting Moc Chau National Tourist Area at the beginning of the year. The dense clusters of blossoms blanket the branches in white, creating a dreamy and romantic scene.

The two locations with the most plum orchards are Na Ka Plum Valley (Thao Nguyen Ward) and Mu Nau Plum Valley (Moc Chau Ward). The pristine white plum blossoms here create a dreamy and peaceful landscape.

Ms. Tran Thi Lan Anh (born in 2004, from Moc Chau) said that when she heard that the Na Ka plum valley was in bloom, she and her relatives prepared their most beautiful dresses and outfits to capture these youthful moments. "Our group spent more than 3 hours choosing outfits, doing makeup, and then taking photos," Ms. Lan Anh shared.

Currently, plum blossom gardens are open to visitors for sightseeing and photography, with an entrance fee of approximately 40,000 VND per person, with no time limit. Some gardens also combine this with selling local specialties and renting traditional ethnic costumes, providing visitors with an additional experience.

More than just a check-in spot, the plum blossom gardens of Moc Chau offer a sense of slowness and tranquility – something many seek in the early days of the year. Amidst the blanket of white blossoms and the ethereal mist hanging over the hills, visitors can easily forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, owner of a plum blossom garden in Na Ka, said that on average, the garden welcomes over 1,000 visitors each weekend, with fewer visitors on weekdays. According to her, income from allowing visitors to take photos is not as profitable as harvesting the fruit. “The best time to admire the plum blossoms is early morning or late afternoon, when the gentle sunlight makes the flowers stand out and the atmosphere is cool and pleasant. Visitors can also camp overnight in the garden, bringing their own equipment or renting it on-site to enhance the experience,” Ms. Huong shared.
