Continue to thoroughly grasp the viewpoints, guidelines and policies of the Party and State on foreign affairs and foreign information, focusing on the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress; Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress; Directive No. 25-CT/TW dated August 8, 2018 of the Secretariat on promoting and elevating multilateral foreign affairs to 2030; Directive No. 32-CT/TW dated February 18, 2019 of the Politburo on strengthening and improving the effectiveness of party foreign relations in the new situation; Decision No. 368/QD-TTg dated February 28, 2013 of the Prime Minister approving the Government's Action Program on foreign information for the period 2013 - 2020.

Information and propaganda on Vietnam's high-level foreign affairs activities, including bilateral and multilateral high-level visits, participation in multilateral conferences of senior leaders (United Nations, ASEAN, ASEM, APEC, etc.). Highlights are activities within the framework of the ASEAN Chairmanship 2020, AIPA 41 Chairmanship and non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2020-2021 term; highlighting the policy of raising the level of multilateral foreign affairs in the spirit of Directive No. 25-CT/TW, dated August 8, 2018 of the Secretariat; emphasizing Vietnam's role and contributions to ASEAN and the United Nations in particular, in regional and international issues in general; affirming national prestige and the country's position in the international arena.

Propagating important political events of the country and the province such as: 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam; 75th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2; 45th anniversary of the complete liberation of the South and national reunification; 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday; Party congresses at all levels leading up to the 15th Provincial Party Congress and the 13th National Party Congress; 125th anniversary of the founding of Son La province... Actively enlisting the press and international friends to propagate to the foreign public; organizing for foreign press to enter Vietnam to report on the anniversary activities and comprehensive development achievements of the country and the province.

Strengthening coordination and propaganda orientation on protecting national sovereignty, border security, and protecting Vietnam's sea and island sovereignty:(1)Continue to grasp the situation regarding the attitudes and reactions of countries on the East Sea issue, detect plots and activities of false propaganda about our country's sovereignty in the East Sea and other sea areas;(2)Advise the Party and State leaders on measures to combat activities that violate maritime sovereignty, sovereign rights, jurisdiction, and the legitimate and legal rights and interests of our country in the East Sea, and activities that take advantage of border, sea, and island sovereignty issues to propagate distortions and incite sabotage. Effectively implement projects and programs to propagate border, territory, sea, and island affairs.

Strengthening information, promotion, and introduction of the image of the country, people, history, cultural identity, potentials, and strengths of Vietnam in general and Son La province in particular to foreign countries. Strengthening foreign economic activities, information on the Party and State's socio-economic development policies and guidelines; information on Vietnam's achievements in ensuring and promoting human rights, implementing policies, ethnicity, and traditions of solidarity and cohesion among ethnic groups, attracting the attention of foreign partners and international tourists to Vietnam and Son La province./.
