(sonla.gov.vn) On January 31st, in Moc Chau Plateau, more than 4,000 athletes from 43 countries and territories participated in the 2026 Vietnam Trail Marathon.
The trails on Moc Chau Plateau are even more vibrant today with the footsteps of thousands of athletes and the cheers of local people.

Canadian athlete Genevieve Berard said:During the race, children in traditional ethnic costumes lined both sides of the road to cheer us on. The organizers also set up water stations for us. The route was absolutely beautiful; I love Moc Chau."

The best thing today is the beautiful weather, and the race route is lined with many flowers, which makes the athletes feel much more enthusiastic. The Vietnam Trail Marathon (VTM) returns for its eighth season, continuing to bring the beauty of Moc Chau and the spirit of trail running closer to the sports-loving community. With diverse distances ranging from 5km to 70km, the race takes place amidst the peaceful and picturesque green meadows, where each distance offers unique challenges and exciting experiences for the athletes.

The race route will take athletes through valleys covered in white plum blossoms, lush green tea hills, pristine trails, and peaceful ethnic minority villages. A special highlight is the finish line at Heart-Shaped Tea Hill – an impressive finish space befitting one of Vietnam's largest trail running events.
