A delegation from Hua Phan province visited and extended New Year greetings to Son La province.

Welcoming the delegation were: Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Vi Duc Tho, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Leaders of Son La and Hua Phan provinces exchanged information on the results for 2025.

Comrade Khon Pa Phan - Luang Si Chan Thong congratulated the success of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, congratulated Comrade Hoang Van Nghiem, Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, on his election as a member of the Central Committee of the Party; and expressed his confidence that Son La will continue to achieve even greater successes and further strengthen the solidarity and friendship between Laos and Vietnam, and between Hua Phan and Son La provinces.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Horse, Comrade Khon Pa Phan - Luong Si Chan Thong sends his best wishes to the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the armed forces, and the people of all ethnic groups in Son La province.

The delegation from Hua Phan province presented flowers to Son La province to wish them a Happy New Year.

Comrade Hoang Van Nghiem thanked Comrade Khon Pa Phan - Luang Si Chan Thong and the delegation from Hua Phan province for visiting and extending New Year greetings to the Party Committee, government, and people of Son La province. He also provided a general overview of the socio-economic development, national defense, security, Party building, and political system consolidation in Son La province in 2025; and cooperation between Son La province and neighboring Lao provinces in various fields. In 2025, Son La province received 50 students from Hua Phan province, bringing the total number of Hua Phan students studying at Son La's educational institutions to 128. The armed forces of both sides have effectively coordinated in ensuring security and order, border security, and contributing to the solid consolidation of the special solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Laos. We are confident that in the future, the special friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Son La province and Hua Phan province will continue to develop positively.
