The communes and Chiềng On Border Guard Post reported to the working group on the progress of preparations for activities celebrating the Party and the Lunar New Year of Bính Ngọ 2026; and effectively implemented social welfare work, visiting and giving gifts to policy beneficiary families and poor households. To date, poor and near-poor households in the area have received Tet gifts at a rate of 500,000 VND/poor household and 300,000 VND/near-poor household.
Local authorities are proactively developing plans to ensure national defense and security during the Lunar New Year holiday, deploying forces on duty 24/7, strengthening crime prevention and suppression, fire prevention and control, ensuring traffic safety and order, and organizing cultural and sports activities to serve the people so they can enjoy a safe and happy New Year celebration.
Through programs and initiatives such as "Springtime Border Guard Program: Warming the Hearts of Local People," "Helping Children Go to School," "Nurturing Green Seeds in the Border Region - Stepping Towards a Brighter Future," "Savings Rice Jar," "Lighting Up the Border Region," and "National Border Guard Day," border guard forces coordinated visits and gift-giving to nearly 500 disadvantaged families. They also mobilized resources to distribute nearly 1,000 gifts to poor and near-poor households in the two communes, contributing to ensuring social welfare during the Tet holiday.

Comrade Lam Van Man acknowledged and commended the efforts and achievements of Phieng Khoai, Yen Son, Mai Son communes and Chieng On Border Guard Post in 2025, especially the work of caring for policy beneficiary families, poor households, and respected individuals among ethnic minorities during Tet (Lunar New Year). He expressed his hope that the people of all ethnic groups, along with the officers and soldiers in the area, would continue to promote the spirit of solidarity and unity with the Party committees and authorities at all levels to overcome difficulties and build a more developed homeland and country. Regarding Chieng On Border Guard Post, he requested that they continue to uphold the spirit of solidarity, proactively grasp the situation, closely coordinate with the local authorities and people to firmly protect territorial sovereignty, maintain border security, participate in socio-economic development, achieve sustainable poverty reduction, and care for the lives of officers and soldiers on duty during the Lunar New Year.
