By the end of 2025, Son La province had collected an estimated 5,664 billion VND in budget revenue, a 37% increase compared to the central government's projected target and the previous year. This budget revenue achievement was also identified as one of the top 10 outstanding results in the province's political, economic, social, defense, and security sectors in 2025.

Accelerating the progress of basic construction and disbursing public investment capital contributes to promoting the completion of budget revenue collection tasks.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Deputy Director of the Son La Provincial Department of Finance, said that to achieve this result, from the beginning of the year, the Son La Provincial People's Committee directed all levels and sectors, especially the provincial tax department, to focus on implementing decisive and specific solutions, concentrating on removing bottlenecks and obstacles in policies related to compensation and land clearance, investment attraction policies, improving the business investment environment for enterprises, creating conditions for enterprises to implement projects on schedule, ensuring production and business plans and paying state budget contributions.

Along with that, it is necessary to fully and promptly implement new tax laws, resolutions of the National Assembly, and resolutions and decrees of the Government on new tax policies; policies on tax exemption, reduction, and extension of tax payment deadlines for businesses to create conditions for businesses to restore and stabilize production and business; and to vigorously carry out the work of urging and enforcing tax debt collection...

"When implementing the two-tiered local government model, the revenue collection work was promptly adjusted by the finance sector in close coordination with the tax sector to ensure it was consistent with the new model and management capacity."

Simultaneously, the tax sector has been very actively and effectively implementing various forms of propaganda, guidance, and support for taxpayers in electronic tax declaration and the implementation of policies to support and restore production and business development. Therefore, the total budget revenue in the province to date is approximately over 5,664 billion VND. This is the highest growth rate of the province in the 2021-2025 period," Mr. Nguyen Van Phong informed.
