VHO - Recently, the Vietnam National Drama Theatre participated in the "Spring on the Border 2026" program in Chieng Son and Long Sap communes (Son La province), thereby demonstrating the affection, responsibility, and sharing of the artists, staff, and employees of the Theatre towards the people and officers and soldiers on the front lines of the border.
This is an annual event organized by the Vietnam National Drama Theatre in collaboration with the Military Science Academy to contribute to effective civilian outreach work and strengthen the solidarity between the military and the people.

The Vietnam National Drama Theatre is partnering with the "Spring on the Border 2026" program in Son La.
The program includes activities such as: visiting and giving gifts to families receiving preferential treatment and households with particularly difficult circumstances in the two communes; giving gifts, clothes, school supplies and necessities to preschool, primary and secondary school boarding students, and adopted children of the Chiềng Sơn and Lóng Sập Border Guard Posts; and giving gifts to village elders, village heads, village secretaries, influential people and key officials in the locality.
In addition, the delegation visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to officers and soldiers of the forces performing duties in the area, and organized cultural and artistic exchanges.
During the program, approximately 800 gifts were handed directly to officers, soldiers, and local people. Beyond providing material support, these gifts also demonstrated sharing, care, and provided moral encouragement, helping border forces feel secure in carrying out their duties.
At the same time, it strengthens people's trust in their homeland, encouraging them to work together to firmly safeguard and protect national border sovereignty.

The program received a positive response from a large number of people.
The Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Drama Theatre, Meritorious Artist Trinh Mai Nguyen, shared that when the artists directly visited each family in the border region, they truly felt the difficulties and hardships that the people there were facing. Despite living in small houses built with charitable funds, many families had virtually no valuable possessions. In particular, the image of many children without a father or mother left a deep and moving impression on him and the other artists.
As an art institution with a rich tradition, the Vietnam National Drama Theatre has always linked artistic creation with social life. Besides staging theatrical works of significant ideological and artistic value, the Theatre always focuses on activities directed towards remote areas, border regions, and islands, contributing to spreading humanitarian values and fostering patriotism among the people.

Based on her practical experiences during the trip, Meritorious Artist Trinh Mai Nguyen believes that this serves as inspiration for the theater to encourage authors to create new works in the future, truthfully reflecting life in border areas, the image of border guards silently holding the front lines, and the resilience of ethnic minorities in the highlands.
These vibrant elements of life will contribute to enriching artistic creation, spreading humanistic values and the sense of responsibility that art has towards society.
