As part of the 2026 "Spring on the Border" program, on the afternoon of January 26th, the Military Science Academy (General Department II), in coordination with several partner agencies and units, organized visits, New Year greetings, and gift-giving to several agencies, units, and families facing particularly difficult circumstances in Chiềng Sơn and Lóng Sập communes, Sơn La province. Major General Nguyễn Đình Trung, Political Commissar of the Academy, led the delegation.
The "Spring on the Border" program in 2026 is organized byMilitary Science AcademyThe organizing committee, in coordination with 12 units including: the Editorial Board of the Communist Magazine; the National Political Publishing House; the Logistics and Technical Department; the Reconnaissance College/Ministry of National Defense; the University of Foreign Languages and the University of Economics/Vietnam National University, Hanoi; the Diplomatic Academy; the Vietnam National Drama Theatre; the Vietnam Investment and Development Bank (BIDV); the Vietnam National Petroleum Exploration and Production Corporation (PVEP); PVI Joint Stock Company; and the Foreign Affairs Department (VOV5)/Voice of Vietnam Radio, will organize the "Spring on the Border" program in 2026 in Chieng Son and Long Sap communes, Son La province.

During the program, the delegation visited and extended New Year greetings to the Northwest Training and Mobile Center (Border Guard Command); visited and presented gifts to Chieng Son Border Guard Station, Long Sap International Border Gate Border Guard Station; the Party Committee and People's Committee of Chieng Son commune; the Party Committee and People's Committee of Long Sap commune; and especially, visited and presented gifts to 4 families with particularly difficult circumstances in Chieng Son and Long Sap communes.
Visiting and giving gifts to agencies, units, and families in difficult circumstances, Major General Nguyen Dinh Trung said: The "Spring on the Border" program is an annual activity organized by the Military Science Academy in coordination with partner units to promote the spirit of mutual support and compassion; officers, staff, union members, and association members of partner agencies and units have voluntarily donated cash and materials worth approximately 1.4 billion VND as gifts to agencies, units, schools, policy beneficiary families, and students in the "Helping Children Go to School - Children Adopted by Border Guard Posts" program on the occasion of Tet and the arrival of spring in Chieng Son and Long Sap communes, province.Son La.

Each gift, though small, represents the heartfelt generosity of officials, employees, union members, and association members from various agencies and units, with the desire to share with policy beneficiary families, families who have contributed to the revolution, families with particularly difficult circumstances, poor students who excel in their studies, soldiers and students in mountainous and border areas, helping to alleviate some of their difficulties during the Lunar New Year.

Major General Nguyen Dinh Trung expressed his deep gratitude to the leaders and agencies, departments, armed forces, local authorities, and people of Chieng Son and Long Sap communes for their attention and support in helping the Academy and its partner units to successfully prepare for the "Spring on the Border" Program in 2026.
The "Spring on the Border" program in 2026 will directly distribute nearly 800 gifts to policy beneficiary families, families with particularly difficult circumstances, poor households, and students participating in the "Helping Children Go to School - Children Adopted by Border Guard Posts" program; and will also present gifts for the New Year 2026 to a number of agencies, units, local authorities, and schools in Chiềng Sơn and Lóng Sập communes.
