As part of a social welfare program in the border commune of Long Sap (Son La province), the Justice Newspaper, in coordination with the People's Court of Region 6 of Son La, presented 50 gifts, 25 blankets, and 2 water filters to students of Long Sap Ethnic Minority Boarding Primary and Secondary School, contributing to sharing difficulties and providing motivation for ethnic minority children to attend school.
One late afternoon at the end of the year, when the morning mist had dissipated but the chill of the highlands still lingered in the wind, the schoolyard of A Lá branch, Long Sap Ethnic Minority Boarding Primary and Secondary School, became unusually quiet. The faint sunlight spread across the time-worn ground, where groups of students stood neatly, their eyes following the delegation from the Justice Newspaper and the People's Court of Region 6, Son La, as they entered the school gate.

Long Sap is a border commune in Son La province that still faces many difficulties. The two villages of A Ma 1 and A La are considered the areas with the most challenging economic conditions in the commune.
At A Má 1 school, over 90% of the students are children of the Thai, Mong, Xinh Mun, Khơ Mú, and Mường ethnic groups; at A Lá school, 100% of the students are from the Mong ethnic group. Life is still full of hardships, causing many obstacles to their studies and daily lives, especially during the winter months in the highlands.

The eyes of children in the highlands – where life is still lacking in both material resources and opportunities for learning and recreation.
In the rustic schoolyard, amidst the simple, one-story buildings, the gift-giving ceremony unfolded in a simple yet heartwarming manner. When their names were called, the children shyly stepped forward, their small hands clutching their new gifts. Wearing the woolen sweaters, many children's eyes lit up, and smiles appeared on their weather-beaten faces. Some gently pulled their friends aside, whispering a few words in their ethnic language, and joy spread throughout the schoolyard.
