On March 7th, at Xuan Cau village, Nghia Tru commune, Van Giang district, Hung Yen province, the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee organized a ceremony to offer incense in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the death of revolutionary and martyr To Hieu (March 7, 1944 - March 7, 2024).

Attending the incense offering ceremony were: Ms. Tong Thi Phong, former member of the Politburo and former Standing Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly; Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia, member of the Central Committee of the Party and Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Do Manh Hien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee; and representatives from various departments and agencies of Hung Yen province.
Attending the incense offering ceremony, the Son La Provincial Party Committee delegation included: Nguyen Huu Dong, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Hoang Quoc Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; and leaders of several provincial departments and agencies.

During the incense offering ceremony, delegates recalled the revolutionary life of Comrade Tô Hiệu. Comrade Tô Hiệu was born in 1912 in Xuân Cầu village, Nghĩa Trụ commune, Văn Giang district, Hưng Yên province. He was the youngest son in a poor scholarly family, a patriotic Tô clan with many generations of academic achievements in Hưng Yên province.
Continuing the patriotic tradition of his family, clan, and homeland, at the young age of 14, Comrade Tô Hiệu participated in student strikes and mourning movements for Phan Châu Trinh, resulting in his expulsion from the colonial school. At the age of 32, he spent 18 years participating in the revolution, including many years in prisons, such as Sơn La Prison, where he ultimately sacrificed his life.

At the To Hieu Martyrs' Memorial, the leaders respectfully expressed their profound gratitude and appreciation, remembering the contributions of revolutionary martyr To Hieu. At the same time, they expressed their determination to uphold the heroic and indomitable traditions of their forefathers, urging the Party Committee, government, and people of Son La and Hung Yen provinces to strive in learning, training, and production, building a more prosperous homeland and country; to effectively implement the "Paying Gratitude" policy and the Party and State's guidelines and policies for wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, families of martyrs, and those who have contributed to the revolution, continuing the nation's tradition of "Remembering the Source of the Water You Drink."
Comrade Tong Thi Phong delivered a speech at the incense offering ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Tong Thi Phong emphasized the great contributions of revolutionary martyr To Hieu to the Vietnamese revolution. She extended her best New Year wishes to the Party Committee, government, and people of Hung Yen province and the family of Comrade To Hieu. She urged Van Giang district, Hung Yen province, to continue the patriotic traditions of previous generations and build a more prosperous and beautiful locality. She also expressed her hope that Son La and Hung Yen provinces and Hai Phong city – the places where revolutionary martyr To Hieu lived and carried out his revolutionary activities – would always unite and support each other in the process of economic and social development.
