The delegation from the Huaphanh Provincial Military Command of Laos was led by Colonel Khampieng Duongxaypheng, Deputy Political Commissar and Head of Political Affairs.
Colonel Khampieng Duongxaypheng affirmed that the achievements of Huaphanh province in the past period were significantly contributed to by the close coordination between the armed forces of Huaphanh and Son La provinces, especially in managing and firmly protecting national territorial sovereignty and border security.
On the occasion of preparing to celebrate the traditional Vietnamese Lunar New Year, the Huaphanh Provincial Military Command sent its best New Year wishes to the officers, soldiers of the armed forces and people of Son La province; wishing Son La province continued development, officers and soldiers to excellently fulfill their assigned tasks, and the people to have a peaceful and happy New Year.

Every year, during the traditional Vietnamese-Lao New Year, provinces from both countries send delegations to visit and extend New Year greetings to the border guards on both sides.
On behalf of the officers and soldiers of the armed forces of Son La province, Colonel Vu Duc Tu respectfully thanked the Military Command of Huaphanh province for their kind sentiments and attention to the Border Guard Command of Son La province. He highly appreciated the effective coordination between the two sides in the past, especially in information exchange, bilateral patrols, and maintaining security, order, and social safety in the border area.
