The delegation visited and extended New Year greetings to officers and soldiers of the Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Border Guard Command. They listened to reports from the units on the situation and results of their tasks in 2025 and preparations for the Lunar New Year (Year of the Horse) 2026. Accordingly, the military and border guard units have focused on implementing professional measures, coordinating with local Party committees, authorities, and functional forces of Laos in patrolling, controlling, and combating crime, ensuring security and order; and maintaining readiness for combat. At the same time, they have taken care of the New Year celebrations for officers and soldiers and organized New Year festivities for the people; and prepared and ensured the conditions for organizing fireworks displays in various localities.

The Provincial Party Secretary acknowledged and commended the efforts and achievements of the units; requested that the units continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, enhance vigilance, proactively grasp the situation, maintain a firm grasp of the local area, and ensure security and order in the border region; coordinate with the police force and local authorities to strengthen patrols and prevent and combat all types of crimes, especially drug crimes and smuggling; and take good care of the officers and soldiers who remain on duty during the Lunar New Year, ensuring that the people can enjoy the Spring Festival and celebrate the New Year safely.

The Provincial Party Secretary also acknowledged the socio-economic development achievements of the wards in 2025, the work of caring for the lives and ensuring social security for poor households and policy beneficiaries in the area. At the same time, he requested the Party committees and authorities of the wards to build on the achievements, continue to effectively implement the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term; ensure security, order, and traffic safety in the area before, during, and after Tet; strengthen fire prevention and control, urban beautification; and organize cultural and sports activities to celebrate the Party and the Spring Festival in a practical and meaningful way. He emphasized the importance of effectively implementing social security policies, especially for poor households, policy beneficiary families, war veterans, disabled soldiers, and vulnerable groups, ensuring that everyone has a happy Tet. He also stressed the need to actively resolve administrative procedures for citizens and businesses. Promote the implementation of movements such as "Tree Planting Festival" and launch irrigation projects immediately after the Lunar New Year. Make thorough preparations for the successful organization of the 16th National Assembly elections and People's Council elections at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, as well as the 2026 military recruitment process.
On this occasion, the Provincial Party Secretary presented 80 gifts from the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to families of meritorious individuals, relatives of martyrs, wounded soldiers, and poor households in the wards of To Hieu, Chieng Coi, Chieng An, and Chieng Sinh.
