On February 6th and 7th, the Son La Provincial Border Guard Command, in coordination with the Xuan Nha Commune People's Committee and various units and sponsors, organized the "Spring" program.Border Guard- "Warmth for the villagers" Spring of the Year of the Horse 2026.

This activity has been maintained for many years. The program is held alternately in border communes. As a result, it has become a festival that strengthens the bond between the military and the people in the border region.
Colonel Pham Tung Lam, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Son La Provincial Border Guard, emphasized: “Each year, the program is organized in one commune or cluster of communes. This is not only a meaningful social welfare activity, but also truly becomes a festival for the people in the border region. Through it, it brings joy, excitement, and warm camaraderie every time Tet (Lunar New Year) comes to the border villages.”

As part of the program, the Organizing Committee distributed over 1,500 gift packages to families receiving social welfare benefits and impoverished households. Each package included cash, rice, warm blankets, pork, and other essential items.
In addition, the organizing committee also donated 48 computers, 5 bicycles, and 30 scholarships to underprivileged students who have excelled academically in Xuan Nha commune.

People also received free medical examinations, medication, and haircuts. Many lively cultural and sporting activities were organized, including rice cake wrapping competitions, sticky rice cake pounding contests, stick pushing, tug-of-war, ball throwing, and cultural exchange performances.
The total value of the program is over 900 million VND.

Ms. Ha Thi Hien from Chieng Nua village shared: “I am very happy to have my blood pressure measured, my eyes examined, and receive free medicine from the doctors. I thank the delegation for their concern for the people in this border region.”
Meanwhile, Ms. Giang Thi Pan from Lay village said: "I am very happy to receive gifts from the Organizing Committee. Having extra rice and warm blankets to celebrate Tet is wonderful. I thank the border guards and all the units and benefactors."
