On February 9th, in Hanoi, the Ministry of National Defence held a conference to summarize the five-year implementation of the project "Organizing in-depth training, dissemination, and popularization of the Vietnamese Border Guard Law and its detailed regulations for the period 2021-2025". The conference was held online, connecting to the Border Guard Command Headquarters of provinces and cities.

Attending the conference at the Son La province's location were Mr. Dang Ngoc Hau, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Provincial Border Affairs Steering Committee; and leaders of the Provincial Border Guard Command and the Department of Justice.
The Law on Border Guard of Vietnam was passed by the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (14th term) at its 10th session on November 11, 2020 (Law No. 66/2020/QH14), and came into effect on January 1, 2022. To implement the Law on Border Guard of Vietnam and its detailed regulations, on November 5, 2021, the Minister of National Defense issued Decision No. 3863/QD-BQP approving the Project “Organizing in-depth training; disseminating and popularizing the Law on Border Guard of Vietnam and its detailed regulations for the period 2021-2025”. Over the five years of implementation, the Project has successfully achieved its objectives and contents, meeting the expectations of officials and the people. The dissemination and promotion of the Vietnamese Border Guard Law has truly become a bridge and an effective means of bringing the law into life, helping all organizations and individuals to correctly understand the regulations and the strictness of the law in order to comply with them.

In Son La province, over the past five years, the entire province has organized 25 in-depth training conferences on the Vietnamese Border Guard Law, with over 1,300 participants from the provincial to the grassroots level, including key officials, lecturers, propagandists, and all officers and soldiers of the provincial Border Guard. Simultaneously, the dissemination of the Vietnamese Border Guard Law has been integrated into conferences, Party branch meetings, village meetings, the National Border Guard Day, and local movements and campaigns; 438 direct propaganda sessions have been organized, attracting 91,955 participants.

The Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of commendation to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements.

On this occasion, the Ministry of National Defence awarded certificates of merit to 37 collectives and 40 individuals, including the Sơn La Provincial Border Guard Command and Colonel Vũ Đức Tú, Deputy Political Commissar of the Sơn La Provincial Border Guard Command. The Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 2 collectives and 3 individuals. The Border Guard Command Headquarters awarded certificates of merit to 41 collectives and 81 individuals, including 1 collective and 2 individuals from Sơn La province for their outstanding achievements in implementing the Project.
